I know we’re all hyped about young Victor in Ice Adolescence. But guys, does this mean we will get a complete scene devoted to the major turning point in Victor’s life - the Banquet™? I’m talking fully animated drunk-on-16-flutes-of-champagne Yuri from Victor’s perspective. I’m talking Yuri vs Yuri dance off. I’m talking obscene pole dancing action. I’m talking Yuri sweeping Victor right off his damn feet into a dance for the ages. Please, I am B E G G I N G.
There’s an entire library of proper responses for this moment. Katsuki effectively incinerates them all when he laughs like he’s watching a comedian at work. “You wanna go against me? Me?! Come on, at least start with someone less skilled like-”
“Like you.” It comes out so smoothly from Izuku’s mouth. He can’t believe he’s actually said something so scathing. That’s not like him at all, but damnit, all he’d wanted was to spend quality time with his blockhead boyfriend, you know?
AU where the arcade is the place to be, “Plus Ultra” is the hottest fighting game in town, Bakugou’s bad at boyfriending, and Izuku’s ready to KO his ass into the next century
xxyuniexx asked: i see you reblogged a post from the-wonder-duo blog! Does this mean you are caught up? Or are you just jumping in from more recent posts?
I’m slowly catching up, lol. I’m kind of in awe over how much work has gone into it, it’s amazing ☺️
You know how people get super pent up about people who ship Bakugou & Uraraka because it’s ‘abusive’ but are we gonna talk about the fact Bakugou has never actually been abusive to Uraraka.
People say “oh but the tournament battle!!!” Like Bakugou fought Uraraka the exact same way he fought Kirishima and Todoroki. Yes he was brutal and vigilant but he was with everyone that’s how he is as a person. Bakugou wasn’t stupid enough to underestimate her simply because she’s female he knew she was a strong opponent and acknowledges her as such. Implying that Bakugou should’ve fundamentally gone easy on Uraraka or treated her differently to everyone else is sexist. If Uraraka was male people wouldn’t say anything about it but because she’s female it’s suddenly abuse. Y’all fine with Kirib@ku/B@kushima despite the fact he was just as brutal with him in the tournament arc yet suddenly go ape shit when it’s Bakugou and Uraraka. Just admit you’re sexist and stop trying to hide behind some form of warped shipping activism to justify that sexism.
TO ADD!
Aizawa acknowledged that what Bakugou was doing was right and that going easy on Uraraku would be the wrong thing to do and how the pros should’ve been ashamed of themselves for booing him, because ALL OF THOSE KIDS ARE THERE TO FIGHT TO THE BEST OF THEIR ABILITY.
Like y’all have an entire televised tournament where you cheer for teenagers to beat the shit out of each other but yeah let’s pump the breaks on this one fighter cuz she’s a cute girl.
Y’all have an entire, well-known, best of the best school where the first thing they did was KILLER ROBOT COMBAT but yeah let’s pump the breaks on this one fighter cuz she’s a cute girl.
Also how could you say that Bakugou doing that was wrong when it led Uraraku to start doing combat training and everyone likes that she does that now? We all cheered for her pinning Himiko down and taking Thirteen off guard, and she wouldn’t have even gotten to that point IF THAT BAKUGOU FIGHT DIDN’T HAPPEN!
Honestly her fighting against him was the best thing that could’ve happened to her because everyone else in the class would’ve gone soft on her and that would lead to zero growth as a hero.
Stop trying to pin Bakugou in your stereotypical asshole character trope when he’s more nuanced than that.
i swear i hate the bnha fandom. its basically full of little teenagers who think they have a right to tell people where they stand in the fandom. they throw the word abuse around like its the only word in their dictionary. they treat bkdk shippers and any other ship they proclaim is abusive, like their nothing but a disease because they think its okay to hate on them and bully them. they make ship events and keep certain shippers out of it. if people proclaim their love for mistuki or believe endeavor can change, they automatically proclaim those people support their “abusive tendacies”. they trash horikoshi cause they say he’s a terrible writer bc the plotline isn’t going the way they want or that their faves aren’t getting the spotlight. bitches he created this manga you have no say in what gets to happen. hori has probably sacrificed alot to bring the bnha series to us and y'all are trashing him cause things aren’t going y'alls way. talk about being fucking ungrateful. in the end horikoshi gets to decide what happens.
also y'all don’t get to say where people stand in this fandom. this isn’t y'alls little teenage cliques at school. this is a fandom filled with different people of different ages from all over the world. better fucking remember that.
This is why it’s so weird being in a fandom as a soon-to-be 35-year-old.
(commenting on the ship stuff because I’m not caught up on the manga)
So many fandoms are like this. Like I know it feels like its just one in particular but ALL fandoms have that group whose sole purpose is to ruin someone’s day instead of, you know, scrolling past the stuff they don’t like and focusing on the stuff they enjoy. Like all that energy used to tell someone that their ship is trash could be spent on a fic or fanart, you know?
I have seen some gnarly ship wars, like, some real “wtf is this nonsense” (talk to me about SasuNaru sometime). Like you can not like a ship, that’s perfectly fine, but don’t be in folks’ inboxes telling them that they should die a fiery death or whatever because they like a thing that you don’t.
And it’s so wild, because I swear the bakudeku folks I follow actually LIKE the other ships, too? Like they aren’t telling kiribaku or tododeku or whatever that they’re gonna burn in hell, they’re out here like, “Yes yes, that’s a fine ship, Bakugou clasped onto Kirishima’s hand, A+, but I just happen to dig him with Deku.” And that’s it.
tl;dr: no one’s forcing you to like a thing so leave folks alone.
