The Inner Workings of a Chibi.

These are coming late because I had to finish editing last night.

15.  Favorite Movie:  It’s subject to change, but this year so far it’s Man of Steel and Pacific Rim  :)   Two movies I can watch at any time (as in if you’re watching it I’ll be right over) are Office Space and Mortal Kombat (as cheesy as it is)

19.  Something about your personality:  I do like to approach things calmly, not getting pissed off or getting upset.  I really do try.  I think responding to things calmly is more effective than being angry (case in point: me getting bullied about my cosplay and responding by frying chicken and being like, “Yeah I got made fun of it happens now excuse me while I put on a Disney princess dress.”)

Now this doesn’t mean I don’t get pissed off.  Don’t get it twisted, I’m not all smiles all the time I do rant and I do yell and I do curse.  Just ask my partner.  But I do think it’s best to let things process through your mind before you do something.  For example, when I write something and it gets rejected, my first thought is to respond to the email.  But no, no no no, no.  Because at that point I’m upset and maybe even a bit pissed off because I put a lot of work into the thing I wrote only to get a no.  So I step away from the email, take a breath, and do something other than writing.  Because I know if I go into writing at that point I’ll be writing angry, and that’s not good.

Now, this does not mean you let people walk all over you.  One comment I got when I wrote my article was to “stop whining,” and to, “laugh it off,” when someone makes fun of you.  For one, being called names is not funny.  It is not a laughing matter.  I laugh at things that are funny, and being called names is not funny.  Also, I hate that when someone stands up for themselves it’s “whining.”  It’s a double-edged sword.  Half the world wants you to not take anyone’s shit.  The other half wants you to stop overreacting because “you should just smile and ignore it.”  Well, I smiled, I smiled as I wrote that article and told people to not let the comments get to them and to just go out and have fun  <3

Every convention we go to, we commission fanart of our characters so that the readers and fans can see different views of what they might look like.  This time, at Daisho Con, we picked up a commission of Xaver.

Xaver is the Hunter that trained Fagan and turned him from a normal business job into the Hunter that he is.  When the first book starts, Xaver is the one who called to say he needed help from his old trainee/partner which is pretty rare for him.  He almost never needs help.

Reblogging to share some art we picked up at Daisho!

As we get closer to being finished with the final edits to “Seeking the Storyteller,” our collection of fanart is growing.  We really want to get fanart of our characters so we can have them at conventions and things like that, to show a visual of our book  <3

This is Xaver Knoxton, experienced Hunter.  He’s the guy who trained the two Hunters in our book, and they are the ones who take care of the demons who lurk in the shadows.

As an extra note, if you’re an artist, we’re always looking for people to do fanart from our book series  :)

And to top it all off I get to end this weekend with a bunch of Persona announcements AND picking my mama up from the airport on the way home for her week vacation with us for Thanksgiving OMG WHY IS LIFE SO PERFECT RIGHT NOW?!
