Happy Saturday, everyone. Today is Tiana day and we may have found some other princesses along the way, huzzah!  Yesterday was this holiday festive version of Peach  <3

Friday at Daisho was great. It is a bit strange being able to just walk around and not sit at a table, but it’s been a lot of fun. The really cool thing that’s been happening that I wasn’t expecting was people recognizing me from the article I wrote and who follow me here and on tumblr O.O That’s really incredible! Like I got some, “I recognize you from this article you wrote” and some “Hey is this you” and “omg I know you from the internet” and… yeah. Wow <3

I also was really incredibly super brave and not awkward (was totally awkward) because I gave J. Michael Tatum a Grell clock I made because he likes Grell. I did it all by myself like a big kid and was all ready to walk away forever but then he asked for a picture and called me gorgeous in my Peach cosplay and everything is a blur after that. But I did it alone so yay me!

More con pictures coming soon, you know, once I’m more coherent and stuff.

I don’t think I’ve ever gotten this much of a response on my art on tumblr before.  Thanks everyone  <3  Even my mama loves the mirrors, she doesn’t even like anime but said she’d totally hang the Sailor Moon one up because it’s so pretty  :)

Anyhow, getting all packed up and ready to go to Daisho Con tomorrow, let’s hope that the mirror and everything else is well received there  ^^

Real talk, guys. I don’t really get the whole “plus” and “fat” thing sometimes and making fun of people for it. Well, I mean, it’s already dumb to make fun of people anyway? What I mean is… some of you have shared your pictures with me and I look at them and think, “How the hell is she/he considered fat at all?” Like when I think of “fat” I think of myself, honestly. I know I’m fat, I know this, but then I hear about others being made fun of for their weight and when I look at them they are 99.9 percent of the time smaller than me?

Not to mention that sizes are all screwed up anyway. I wish I shared what I found someone saying about them, but she pretty much commented on how, in her closet, none of the sizes are the same. She can be a 12 one day according to one store, a 16 according to another store, ect. And she’s right! I always say I’m a 28, but sometimes when I go to Lane Bryant I can fit their 24. Sometimes 28 is too loose and sometimes it’s just right. Hell, there’s like two or three dresses my wifey has that I can wear and we are nowhere NEAR the same size, those are like a 20? But they fit me and they fit me well. But how can I possible fit in something that’s 8 sizes smaller than what I normally wear?

And don’t get me started on jeans. I swear I have pairs in the same size all throughout and sometimes it’s tight on my legs, other times it’s loose and I need a belt. What is this science?

And then what is even “plus” like where does it start? I have a guilty pleasure in Top Model and I remember watching seasons and girls were “borderline plus” or “plus” and I think, “What really? That’s plus? Well damn I must be double dip that chip plus or something…” Like half the time I would get it because compared to the other girls, yeah, but other times I was like, “Are you just saying that to be different and stand out because…"

Not to mention that it feels like the clothing stores that even cater to me never show my size in their ads or magazines and things like that. You carry up to a 28, but none of the models are a 28, at all. Where’s the women who wear my ridiculous bra size? I mean yeah I guess their "plus” according to, you know, them wearing a 16 or something? But come on I know who shops at that store, because when I go looking for my large size in the clearance section (yes clearance shop ftw) it is always the first one gone. There are plenty of 14/16 shirts but 26/28? Forget it.

So I guess… I mean… I think all of you are beautiful, but it legitimately confuses me when you say you get picked on because a) ugh bullying just stop and b) wait what they think you’re fat really? I mean I know what fat is, and there’s nothing wrong with that I’m not saying that there is, but just… you do get what I’m saying?

Anonymous asked: Those Attack on Titan emblems... How did you do them?! They're amazing! In fact, how did you do any of those wonderful art pieces?! Wow! You're amazing at art!

Awwww, thank you so much!  <3  Let’s see…

1.  The Attack on Titan emblems:  I’ve been woodburning for a few years, I honestly just wanted to try it because I thought it always looked so cool when people did it.  What I do is get the wood, sketch whatever design I want on it, then burn over the design.  Over time I’ve gotten a bit fancier with it, like shading and stuff, which is just a matter of how hard I press down on the wood.  My woodburner is this dinky little thing I got from JoAnns for like $7, lol.

This tool is the same thing I used for the Harley and Ivy large woodburning  :)

Oh, I also cover the wood with poly (same stuff you use on hardwood floor) to give it a nice looking finish, and protect it (because I do coasters too)

2.  With the glass painting I posted (the Sailor Moon mirror and Black Butler glass), I actually drew what I wanted with dry erase marker.  This is because it wipes off easily :)  But I drew what I wanted and painted it where I wanted.  The Sailor Moon one took a lot of paint, lol, and the stars are just me using a lead pencil and white paint  :)  The planet symbols were made in the same way.

With the Black Butler one I did it different, since it’s not actually a mirror, but a glass piece.  I knew if I drew on it with dry erase marker then painted over it, you’d see the marker on the other side of the glass.  So I drew what I wanted on the front side of the glass, turned it around and painted on the back, then wiped it off.  This one was all about the ruler to make the lines  :)  Ciel and Sebastian are painted on the front so they sort of look like they stand out  :)

The end  <3

Filed under projects I should not attempt the week of a con after finishing other projects. The Black Butler mirror is making progress, all that’s left is adding the silhouette of Ciel and Sebastian.  Debating on adding the title but I’m thinking no, and letting the picture speak for itself.

This entire thing was hand painted, I used dry erase marker on one side to do the lines, then painted it from the other side and wiped the marker off. It actually took longer than the Sailor Moon mirror omg why do I do these things? However, it will be done in time for Daisho, yay!

This was found in a store because it was part of what I assume was a broken cabinet set, or something?  Yeah leave it to me to look at it and think, “I wanna paint that 2 days before a con for the art show whoo!”
