Also looking at Sub-Zero’s outfit in season 2 of Mortal Kombat Legacy, it’s all sleek and cool, kinda reminiscent of a… cyborg.
And we know from the last season that the Lin Kuei did start the cyborg initiative.

I guess this may not matter due to the events in episode 8 of season 2, but at the same time, who knows. It is Mortal Kombat, after all.
