8. Want any tattoos?
I actually do! I want a tattoo of my brother’s name with some kind of awesome design, or something, but I’m too chicken shit to do it. I really like tattoos I just hate needles and pain so I’m like, “…. no,” in this small whimper of a voice.
11. Best friend?
Oh goodness I feel like I have quite a few of those lately. I have really, really good friends in Chicago who are like family, even if I don’t see them for years on end. I also have good friends here, and across the country, roommates who moved away and really good high school friends and stuff like that. Friends I’ve made through conventions, or even fanfiction and stuff like that. I think with the book and stuff, I’m sort of feeling this strong friendship with the people who are supporting me by talking about the book with people, reblogging my interviews and stuff, who have gone out and bought the book, left reviews, just… everyone has been so great in this process!
I was going to post about this on my author page, but YOU sir, have been uber supportive. I don’t know if you realize how much your little fire place mantel display means to me, because you’re one of those friends who says you’ll support me AND GOES OUT AND DOES IT! I mean there’s the friends who are like, “OMG YOUR STUFF IS SO COOL YOU SHOULD MAKE ME SOMETHING/GIVE ME SOMETHING,” then there’s you who is like, “Yeah I just went and bought this thing you made,” which means the world to me :)
15. Favorite movie
TOO MANY TO NAME! Currently it’s “Pacific Rim,” which is really a movie that I think anime fans should watch, because it really is like watching a live action anime movie. A really, really good one, with ridiculously cool mechs and monsters, and interesting characters, and just… it’s so great!
I do know that, for some reason, I can watch Office Space any day of the week. It just… god, it, 6 years of retail and just… yes. It’s not even about retail but at the same time it is! I love it! For a while I would just watch it whenever, sort of like how I can randomly watch Mortal Kombat. So cheesy and wonderful, Mortal Kombat is.
16. I’ll love you if
I’ll love you if you bring something yummy to my birthday party? Though I’m not sure how doable that is since you’re coming after work. So I’ll also love you if you host another writing meeting at your house soon ^^
21. What I love most about myself.
My creativity. I don’t know what I’d do it I didn’t want to write and craft, I can’t imagine not doing those things. To that extent I also love being so geeky. It might not be what people expect when they see me, but I love living this geeky life of anime, video games, comic books, movies, and things like that.
26. My biggest pet peeves.
I hate people who say something and either don’t follow up on it or change what they say. Like, don’t say you’re going to do something and not do it, or don’t say you believe one thing then act like you didn’t say it. I have an aunt who use to be a lesbian, for example. Use to be. Now I don’t mind if you decide that you like men, or whatever, because people like who they like. But don’t turn around and say that being a lesbian is wrong, because you use to be one so what the hell? I guess now she’s in the church or something and is against gay marriage and stuff and just… no. That’s the kind of thing I don’t like.
I also don’t like it when people make assumptions about things. This, this is a thing I hate, because it happened ALL THE TIME at GameStop. Black girl working there clearly doesn’t play video games, right? Or it’s for her boyfriend, or kids, and just… stop. Stop. Stop judging people on appearance, whether it’s about cosplay, or gaming, or whatever, just stop it. Stop. And while we’re on the subject on making assumptions about people who don’t fit the majority, stop bashing the majority. I’m a plus sized black geeky girl in a relationship with a girl, but the solution to people who assume things about me is NOT by bashing the majority. It’s not by bashing the cute skinny girls, or the white person, or the straight person, just… the fix for negativity is not more negativity.
39. My favorite ice cream flavor
Ugh just that’s the hardest question ever! I love chocolate, but sometimes I love strawberry, or lemon, or french vanilla, and just… TOO MANY OPTIONS! I also love cookie dough, too. I guess if I had to pick it would be chocolate, because it never lets me down.
Since I can’t remember if I posted this or not, I’m having a birthday party this Friday at my house at 7pm. 7pm is an educated guess but honestly if we’re home from the mall and stuff earlier, I can text people if they want to come over earlier and hang out. There’s going to be drinks (alcoholic and non) and some sort of food snack thing, feel free to bring your own drinks and snacks to share if you want. There’s going to be games like Cards Against Humanity and such, and do not feel embarrassed if my mom beats you, she’s a dirty old lady (I LOVE YOU MOM!) Oh and apparently there’s going to be music because my mom insists and her and my great aunt will probably be dancing or something I dunno, so my mom is both dj and drink maker ^^
Things to remember about my house:
1. You can NOT park on the side of the street where my house is, you have to park across the street.
2. I have cats, just a heads up if you’re allergic.
3. If you need my address let me know and I’ll send it to you.
4. There’s lots of geek stuff so if you feel the need to stare it’s fine :)
