Uh… h-hi, hi! Hi new followers, wow, just… yeah.
reminds self to reblog headcanon tonight for the night time readersSo here’s a list of the original things I’m working on that I will, most likely, post snippets of. Also, I’ll keep posting fandom writings here, since it keeps things more organized that way :)
- Treat Me Kindly: This is my first completely novel, yay, written all by myself! It’s urban supernatural, and is about a detective trying to solve a murder case where the only clue is a butterfly. It turns out that the butterfly and other animals found at an exclusive, wealthy auction can actually turn human. The animals are very loyal… unless if you mistreat them, then…
Status of this project: Completed, with a publisher interested, OMG! Reading over the contract, man, this is really a process ^^;; I’ll probably post parts of it soon. It… will have a bunch of warnings, it’s a rather dark story.
- Hunters: Seeking the Storyteller: The joint story with my partner. This too is urban supernatural. In the world of demons there exists a being known as the Storyteller. It’s said that he lives in a massive library where he has the power to change people’s lives as easily as writing a book and putting it on a shelf. Such an ability is useful to Alix Andre DeBenit, a man who usually hunts demons down. However, someone like the Storyteller can certainly help bring back the things Alix has lost. Except… the Storyteller is being controlled by a terrible creature, and Alix and his partner, Randall Fagan, might have to work with the very creatures they hunt in order to stop a war.
Status of this project: Complete with an agent showing interest, and with a publisher showing interest. It has its own blog here: Hunter’s Blog. This has 7 books planned out between me and my partner :) The second story is written and in the rough draft phase right now. Takes place here in Minneapolis.
- Double H: A gay romance with a supernatural murder mystery twist. Gable Peterson is told one day that his boyfriend, Avery Blair, is dead. Afterwards, Gable closes his eyes and dreams of a time when Avery was still alive. Much to his surprise, when he wakes up, Avery is, indeed, alive. Somehow, Gable has gone back to the last day he saw Avery before he went missing, giving him a chance to protect his boyfriend. But is he really capable of protecting his lover from a killer who targets gay men? There’s already been three victims, is Avery destined to be victim number four?
Status of this project: Just finished this last weekend! Rereading it, writing up a query letter/summary, and sending it to publishers *keeps fingers crossed*
- That certain… genesis quad? A story to try and get into an upcoming Dreamspinner Anthology dealing with regaining that spark in your love life.
- Steampunk idea (untitled for now): Another story idea to try for an upcoming Dreamspinner Anthology that deals with Steampunk.
So yes, expect bits from these things along with crazy headcanons I do to take a break from original writings and such :) Thanks for following! And I’m glad everyone seemed to enjoy that Persona 4 pony headcanon thing ^^
So… this is what I do when I’m not at work, or not crafting, I’m writing like a crazy person. Go check out my writing blog for up to date writings from me, be it crazy fan hijinks or original works :)
No I can’t stop pimping out my writing, I need to, it’s my life now ^^;;;
saeburg asked: NAOTO (cause why nooot )
Oh goodness the only one I haven’t done is “O” and my eye color is brown, lol! How about I do KANJI to be fair?
K. Relationship with my parents.
Very good. My parents are divorced, have been since I was 5? But they are very cool with one another and they always put me first, which blew EVERYONE’S MIND when I was growing up. Like my dad got remarried, and he would go and pick up my mom to take her to my school plays and graduation and stuff (my mom doesn’t drive) and they’d sit together with my stepmom and brother and ppl were all, “OMG WHY AREN’T THEY KILLING EACH OTHER?!” And my parents were like, “Because the kid comes first.” We have a great relationship with one another, we’ve had our bumps of course (me and my dad moreso than my mom) but they are very happy with what I’m doing (writing, crafting, ect.) and love my partner to death (took some time, but they do ^^)
Already did “A” and “N” and “I” for that matter (jeez)
J. What I want to be when I get older?
You know the answer is always “writer,” but for the first time I feel like I’m almost there? (har har Princess and the Frog reference), but no seriously for the first time I feel secure with it and that it’s going places and will go places. I’m reading a contract about my book, I’m getting something in an anthology, I’m writing query letters, just… it’s all finally happening :)
bobotincandyland asked: SENPAI (yeah I know you already answered P)
And S, ha!
S. A random fact about myself
All right I answered it but I’ll answer again since I’m your senpai :) Everyone knows I’m into yaoi. The way that happened was with Gundam Wing. I randomly found a Heero Yuy x Duo Maxwell fansite and proceeded to absorb all of its information. I wrote fics for Gundam Wing (they’re still posted somewhere and terrible) and actually met my partner through the 1x2x1 mailing list we were on. Thanks to her I discovered that yaoi wasn’t some fandom thing, there were anime and manga and everything! Gravitation was the first I ever watched (and you never forget your first).
E. My best friend
Answered this too, but uh… I love all of my followers?
N. Favorite place to shop at?
Amazon. No seriously, I have a problem. Figures and movies and just… Amazon. Followed by the Source, the comic book store near my house, and Your Mom’s Basement, a gaming shop where I picked up some super awesomely ridiculous games like “Redneck Life,” and “We have not play-tested this yet.” For clothes, Lane Bryant: the clearance section. Like I know I’m plus-sized but damn, does a cute shirt have to be $60?! Hence, the clearance section. Followed by Bath and Body Works for shower gel and lotion and things.
P. Why I hate school
Answered this too ^^
A. Why my last relationship ended
Oh god don’t even…
So, in high school/starting college, I had a boyfriend. He was… much older than me. 7 years, or 8 years, something like that. But you know, girls dated boys, and I hadn’t had a boyfriend before (the one boy I really liked wanted to stay friends, in the end we’re still friends so that worked out). I was super happy to have a boyfriend, I mean I really did like him and he was at the time.
Until sex came up.
See, all of my friends had already, you know, slept with a guy. I hadn’t. I still haven’t. I wasn’t really interested, for one, and for two… every single woman in my family got pregnant their first time and just… no. And he seemed o.k. with waiting.
Until I went off to college.
He came to visit me with my mom and aunt, and he tried to sleep with me. Two reasons why this was not happening. 1. My mother was right down the hallway in the hotel they were all staying in and I was sharing a room with her, obviously, because no way in hell she was going to let me share with him. And 2. It was the anniversary of my brother’s death, so I was not in the best of moods. So I said no and… he stopped calling me. Just like that. The weird part? When I went back home for the first time and went to visit my old job (where we met) he had been telling everyone that we were just fine, that he visits me every weekend, and just… yeah.
Relationship fail.
I. Do I have any tattoos or piercings?
Just my ears. I do sort of want a tattoo of my brother’s name, but I am terrified of needles, so it’ll probably never happen.
animehead asked: STEPH
S. A random fact about myself
Hm… I’ve only had one hangover in my life, but I was such a nerd about it. Not only was it after finals going into summer break (so I had nothing to do afterwards) but when I got home I drunk instant messaged my partner saying, “OMG I’m so drunk!” Then she says after a few minutes the messages stopped, because I passed out in my bed.
Never drank that much ever since.
T. Age I get mistaken for
I’m not actually sure, it’s never come up. It use to a lot in high school, people would think I was older because my chest is so ridiculous -_-
E. My best friend
I have some really great close friends, but the friends I always consider like family live back in Chicago. It’s so great, because we’re SO DIFFERENT! I’m so geeky and this girl is SO NOT, like, she was the going out to parties girl, didn’t watch anime, didn’t play video games, was super into boys, yet somehow we are so close that I can just walk into their house, spend the night when I feel like it, and… it’s crazy! We’re like sisters, have been since we were 11. Even now, when I go home to visit, I just walk next door and waltz in ^^
P. Why I hate school (answered)
H. Do I smoke/drink?
No on smoking, just… no. I’ve tried it and thought it was gross. Both of my parents smoke so I was curious and just… no. Drinking, I do on occasion usually when like friends come over and bring something, or I’m out and kinda feel like it/its a special occasion. The drinks have to taste like, fruit or chocolate or something though, lol.
Anonymous asked: GUPPY!
I actually forgot that quickly that I posted that letters thing, lol.
G: Sexual Orientation
Oh boy, here we go! Despite me being with a woman for the past 11 years, I technically consider myself to be bisexual. You see, I still do find men attractive, and I sincerely believe that if my partner were male, we’d be together, because gender really doesn’t matter to me, it’s the connection with a person that does. I just so happened to connect to a woman :)
U. Where you want to be right now.
At home writing or crafting — probably crafting because Anime Detour is in a month and a half and I have commissions to work on.
P. Why I hate school.
I’m not in school anymore, but when I was in school I actually didn’t hate it at all. In high school, I was a giant geek, like… mathematically. Not a lot of people know this, but in classes like Algebra and stuff I rocked. I did so well in one class, that the teacher told me that I could actually get a D on the final and still get an A out of the class.
I got a B on the final, B+ actually.
But anyhow, I really liked school. I wasn’t super popular and was that nerd who watched DBZ, but as much as I say that looking back… I didn’t get picked on too much for it? Not to the level that kids do NOW, that’s for damn sure. And college? College was great! College is where I actually, you know, opened up more about who I was. I sort of started to wear my geek badge with pride and made a lot of great friends (and met my partner).
The only bad memories I have are from like, the very groups that were supposed to be supportive? Like, I didn’t fit in with the black groups at all, like, not even close, and that’s fine, but I feel like people expected all of us to be bffs (went to a predominantly white school) and instead I was closer to like, my two Asian roommates, my kinda quiet black roommate, and the geeks I’d meet at conventions, or at an anime club or something.
P. See above :)
Y. Do you want to go to college?
Already did, graduated with a B.A. in English and Women’s Studies. Even tried going to grad school, but didn’t get in. It’s fine though, my writing has come a long way thanks to the Creative Writing classes I took and fanfiction. Yep. Fanfiction. Writing fanfics all the time, getting reviews, tuning up my style and whatnot? It was like having another Creative Writing class :)

Time for fandom writings in my new writing blog!
Occasionally, there’ll be a story, where Kanji and Rise are bffs. Usually, this leads to Rise playing matchmaker. Or… on a rare occasion it leads to jealous!Naoto, which is… sort of my favorite Naoto in which she is super over-analytical and precious.
So that’s where this idea comes from… only… it leads to something that Naoto never, ever ever expected.
Warnings: I’m sorry
Second warnings: No really guys I’m really sorry. It’s still kannao though so…?
Third warnings:
maybe I’m not as sorry as I said I am, am I going to be kicked out of the fandom?
Reblogging from my writing blog, please follow it for more of my writings, be it original or fandom :)
So we just edited the story again and added some stuff, took out some stuff, did some general stuffs, and stuff. Anyhow, in this snippet, Fagan, Alix, and Katalynne are trying to figure out things about the demons who are now in their basement and several things their old friend, Xaver, left behind before he was killed.
I wanted to post this part because it has a lot of dialogue between the group, so you get a feel for how they are around each other. That and I really like writing Katalynne, like a lot, she’s like awesome secretary-chan and I love her to pieces. This piece is pretty plot heavy, as important things are discovered.
So Hunters: Seeking the Storyteller is the joint story my partner and I have been working on since, well… college. Back then it was a roleplay we’d do with anime and video game characters, then at some point we realized that the likes of Gaara from Naruto wasn’t really Gaara anymore…
And thus, this series was born :)
Other parts can be read here for those in the mood for urban supernatural full of demons that live in our world. It takes place in Minneapolis/St. Paul, and actual places in the Twin Cities actually show up (we drive around a lot and map out where places are in the story).
No major warnings for the story, not the first book anyway. And, of course, it’s just going to be little teasers, no full chapters or anything like that since we are working to get this published. So far it’s on the, “one publisher is interested and one agent is interested, let’s see how this goes,” stage. It’s already had some much needed edits thanks to the agent’s suggestions :)
And reblogging to my normal blog because I can? YOU SHOULD READ HUNTERS! Urm… that is the extent of my advertising skills early in the morning…
Check out the Hunters blog where the story bits will be posted: Please notice me, senpai!
Check out my writing blog where all of my writings will be posted, not just Hunters: You still haven’t noticed me, please notice me senpai!
