I love you, Betty White.

*watching DBZ Kai, in which they just blew up the lab where the unborn organism is that will become Cell years later*
My partner: Dude… Romney would be so against this
Me: Oh snap! Even if you know that the unborn organism is going to turn into a killing machine that wants to destroy all of humanity, you can’t kill it!
My partner: Because, clearly, Cell is what God intended
Me: And besides, if its a legitimate super villain, then the world has ways of fighting him
My partner: Called Saiyans
Heck Yeah Tumblr Challenges!: 30 Day NaNoWriMo Meme -
Day 1 - Have you participated in NaNoWriMo before? If so, which years and what end result? If not (or even if so, for that matter), what’s your connection to writing? Why do you want to participate this year?
Day 2 - What’s the title of your story? Why did you choose the name you did?
Day 3 - Pick one of your female characters. Introduce your readers to her, from her point of view and her words only.
Day 1: I participated last year and didn’t win, but I did manage to finish the story and multiple drafts enough to submit it to a few places to hopefully get published.
Day 2: Hunters 2: Escaping the Chapter
We’re sticking with stories and book themed ideas because the stories focus around a character we created called The Storyteller and it all circles around him, sorta ^_~
Day 3: Introductions are stupid and I’m not really interested. Just, get out of my face ok? …. no I’m not answering personal questions, why do you care anyway? No, I am not talking about my past or my choice in clothing. Go away. …. Fine. It’s Cyn. That’s my name. No, it’s not short for anything. Piss off.
So my lovely partner here answered the first three questions about our joint story. I’m going to do the same with our joint story AND my own story because I can :)
1. I participated last year but I didn’t win. However, Nano was a great tool for me to work out the kinks in my story and get it where it is now. I’ve actually sent “Treat Me Kindly” off to publishers, and am awaiting a response. This year, however, I hope to win Nano :)
2. Joint story: The Hunters (overall). My partner and I actually have SEVEN books planned. We got the first one done already. The one we’re doing for Nano is called, The Hunters: Escaping the Chapter.
My New Story: Double H
3. Joint story: Oh my, what fascinating human device is this? Do I just… continue to type to communicate with… OH! It seems to be working! Zach, look, I am communicating to the world of humans! Hi! Can you see me waving to you? Probably not… oh! There is a camera, Zach says, but I do not know how to use this device. My name is Mira! I am living at the Hunters with my wonderful new friends! I really like your world, so far. You have such cute dresses and skirts, and polka dots and ice cream! We don’t have things like this in my home. Where am I from, you ask? The Demon World! Can’t you tell from my ears and tail? Oh… Zach says you can’t see those unless if I turn on the camera device.
Well… Cyn wants to use the computer, so I best be going. She gets grumpy, unless if she’s around Haven. Who’s Haven? Oh! I believe you would call him Cyn’s boyfrie- ACK! OW! STOP PULLING MY EAR, CYN, THAT HURTS!!!
My New Story: Hello. My name is Esther Peterson. I am Gable’s mother. We are here visiting for the week, but it seems like my son is going through a rather troubling time. His… well… I suppose Avery is more than a friend, now isn’t he? It turns out my son is gay. He didn’t tell me or his father about this, we had to find out at the police station by accident when we went with him to talk about his missing friend – boyfriend that’s right, that’s right, Avery is his boyfriend. My poor son was under the impression that we would be upset with him about Avery. The only thing I’m upset about is that we’ve missed so much time getting to know him. His entire college career he’s been keeping this secret! I could have made the young man a pot roast and some apple pie! With him missing, I might never get that chance. I do hope the police find him soon, I am looking forward to making Avery a nice, homecooked meal.

You know that fandom?
Not that fandom, that fandom.
You know the one.
The one that you see on your dash.
And you like it, and you give a tiny smile.
Not because you’re still in that fandom.
But because you remember when you were still in that fandom.
And you smile, maybe giggle softly, because you remember all of the feels this fandom gave you.
You remember the laughs, the smiles, the tears.
You remember the characters and the story arcs.
You remember it all.
Then, as you look at the image longer, you get a sudden caress of depression.
Because you remember all of these things and you wonder, “Why am I not in this fandom anymore?”
Then you start to remember the dark times.
The things that made you leave the fandom.
Was the plot too long? Too drawn out? Was there no end in sight when it should’ve ended one hundred and twenty seven episodes ago?
Were the characters suddenly boring? Or were they simply forgotten, left behind in the memories of what was once a great series.
Was there a cop out in the end that made you suddenly hate everything you had spent hours and hours of watching? Was the conclusion out of nowhere? Was it too simple? Was there no conclusion at all?
Did it get too confusing? For the sake of being confusing? Deeper meanings lost in a jarring mess of a plot?
You remember these things, and you frown at the picture on your dash, frown at that little heart in the corner.
You debate un-liking it.
But you can’t.
Because this picture reminds you of the days when you loved this fandom. When you fanarted this fandom. When you fanficed this fandom. When you posted something everyday, or bought everything you could online or at a convention. Perhaps, you even cosplayed from this fandom? Created OTP memories with other cosplayers?
You did this fandom, and you did it well.
And you smile, sadly, and whisper, “Farewell,” into the wind as you continue to scroll away.
Notes: Because everyone has a fandom like this, and this came to mind when I saw a Naruto picture on my dash. Oh how I fandomed that fandom, I think my – what are they called? – SasuNaru fics are still online somewhere. Now, when I see pictures, that sad smile spreads across my lips because… I no longer fandom that fandom, and there’s a sad pang in my heart when I realize that. I wonder, “Will I ever go back?” Then, as my friend tells me about current manga chapters I realize… there is no going back for me (except I am curious about how it will end, if it ends… at some point)
This was just a silly thing before work, carry on everyone ^^
This is part of the second chapter and takes a look at the relationship between the lead character, Gable, and his boyfriend Avery (who is a theatre major, hence there being mention of a script).
Warnings: boys who like boys, me trying to get you interested in my story by introducing you to cute boys, video games that cheat, keys cannot be weapons, and zebra stripes are a bad fashion decision
Yes!
This. This. This.
There has never been more truth on my dash.
Exactly.
Oh my, I never even THOUGHT of this and I AM in a lesbian relationship. Bravo, dear poster, BRA-FUCKING-VO!

So for those of you who are genuinely curious about my writing outside of Persona 4 and fandom, here’s a teaser to what I’m working on now.
Short Synopsis: Gable and Avery have been together all through college, something that Gable’s parents have no knowledge about. As the two lovers get closer to graduation, they’ve made plans on moving in together and having a future with one another. Gable needs to tell his parents soon, but he’s worried about their reaction, especially since Avery’s parents have completely disowned him over the fact that he’s gay. Gable often tells Avery to not be around when his parents are visiting, putting off their inevitable meeting. Avery has no problem with it, still remembering the day his parents turned their backs on him.
Sadly, Gable has no idea that this time, when he tells Avery to make himself scarce, it will be the last time he will ever see his partner.
Avery goes missing and is found a week later, dead. As Gable cries himself to sleep he thinks of the last time he saw Avery, trying to cling to the good memories of his boyfriend. Unbeknownst to Gable his dreams are not like ours. His dreams seem to have an effect on time itself. The next time he opens his eyes he’s back in his room, a week before Avery’s disappearance. This gives him a chance to save his lover’s life, but is he strong enough to use this power to save Avery and stop a killer who targets young, gay men?
(yeah, because I can’t just have a romance story, or just a gay romance story, or just a story about being afraid to come out… it has to be a supernatural murder thing, too, cuz… you know, that’s how my brain works ^^;;; If you want to leave feedback, that would be wonderful, since this is a work in progress)
