Hi yes hi here’s an angsty as hell “Deku dies and passes Bakugou One For All” fic for no reason other than me being in a mood. I don’t remember who came up with the headcanon originally but I find it intriguing and SAD AS HELL but still worth exploring.

Fandom things I dislike:
Folks harassing other folks about their ships. Come on, y’all, just ignore the stuff you don’t like.
Also, folks saying a ship is preventing them from watching the show. The show isn’t about the ships, the show is about Deku becoming a hero. That means we’re gonna see all of his important interactions, and that has always included Bakugou, since the very first episode. This whole “ship interference” thing is so bonkers because it’s not the BakuDeku fans interfering with your show, it’s you holding yourself back because “ugh I hate this ship.” Honestly, how did you make it this far along when we’ve been Kacchaning it up since day one?
Same with the movie. If you don’t like the direction it goes in, that’s totally cool, but folks are allowed to enjoy it (though honestly the folks who don’t have kept those thoughts in their own space VS folks who don’t like BakuDeku directly messaging people their feelings which… why even bother doing that when you could be not engaging in the ship you hate?)

Again, this isn’t really a formal challenge or anything. More of just a general attempt to produce some filthy, filthy things in October of 2018. -BakuDeku find it hard to function without each other because they’ve been part of each other’s lives for so long. It’s not that they can’t, they just feel uncomfortable and end up wondering what the other is doing. This comes to a head come graduation and picking a hero agency, because despite the rivalry and tension they don’t really want to be apart. But how do you admit something so embarrassing?
So they start listening in on each other’s conversations, like, Bakugou will listen to Deku and his group talk about agencies to try and get a hint to where he’s going, and vice versa. Communication between the two has improved, but actually asking where one is going so the other can follow? That’s a bit too much.
Eventually they do end up talking, and to Deku’s surprise, Bakugou’s the one who admits it first (because he’s improved over the years). Deku smiles and admits it, too. Tender kisses are exchanged, and they settle on an agency together.
