people are so rude. hun it’s not my fault we’re out of black hair bands, i just work here. i’m sorry your child’s piercing is infected, but it’s probably because you changed it three weeks before you were meant to. no, you can’t ask me to serve you when i’m on my break; i’ve clocked out, i’m physically unable to - ok just shout at me anyway then nbd.
people are impatient. sorry i couldn’t get to the till in 0.2 seconds when i was on the other side of the store.
people have no concept of tidying up after themselves???? ok just drop that frozen rucksack on the floor when the peg is right in front of you????????? your child is knocking everything off the shelves and you can’t be arsed to tell them to stop??? what is the point of tearing a wig off a fixture and leaving it on a tower???????? stop????????? have some respect?????????
‘i’m sorry ma’am, we’re closed’ ‘i’ll just be two seconds’ (half an hour later………)
why do people think it’s okay to interrupt when i’m obviously helping another customer then get annoyed when i say ‘sorry, i’ll be with you in two seconds’?????????
To add:
It’s not my fault if you missed the return period. One day, I can cut you some slack. Six months? No.
It’s not my fault if a manufactured thing made by a big name company doesn’t work. All I can do is return it for another thing and hope that this thing works. (i.e: 360 red ring)
It’s not my fault if something happens, like any sort of hacking. I have no idea how to fix it, you have to take it up with them.
If any sort of network is down (XBOX LIVE, ect.) I cannot get it back online for you. I don’t know how.
No I don’t know why this thing you wanted got cancelled. Chances are, I’m not happy about it either. Please don’t take it out on me.
I do not set the prices in the store.
No I will not return something physically broken. The disc tray was not like that when I sold it to you. That serial number should still be there.
No I don’t know why your card was declined. Yes I understand you had money in your account when you got here. That’s something you need to take up with your bank, I don’t control your money.
I cannot break the law for you. If the law says I need an I.D. for this transaction, I need an I.D. for this transaction. Please don’t ask me to do something that will get me fired unless you are ready to pay my rent until I find a new job, which I probably won’t because I just broke the law for you.
• Banging on the locked door or gate will not get you into my store any faster.
• I’m sorry the credit card machines are down or our POS is down. I can only do so much to try fixing it and that takes time. There is an atm across the street.
• I am told to follow store policy. If it goes against my training I can’t help you. And yelling at me isn’t going to make me give it to you.
• It’s my JOB to come up to you and ask if you need help. I know you don’t or you would have come to me, but we have cameras.
Reblogging because it got better, especially with this last point. I don’t work retail anymore but I’ve been out shopping with people who look so annoyed when the clerk is like, “Hi, may I help you with something,” and they walk over to them. Yes, it is annoying, but they have higher ups who watch to make sure they do this because they assume that’s what customers want, and they will get in trouble for not coming from out behind the counter.
The same can be said when said clerk pitches a card to you. It doesn’t matter if you’ve said no the last five times you came in they have to ask or they will get in trouble for a poor performance and may even lose hours because someone else who does better numbers wise can use them. This isn’t to guilt you into getting some card you don’t want but please understand why these clerks ask you the same questions over and over again.
Now that Satoru has died maybe Nintendo can finally catch up with other gaming companies when it comes to their representation of women which, frankly, is really poor.
I’m not glad he’s dead, but I’m glad he’s gone.
Wow… I only played Nintendo games to have FUN. Not look at their “poor” representation of females. Have you even played Smash Bros, Hyrule Warriors, or Wind Waker where you take control of female characters to kick ass? I’m sorry, but you make feminist and the movement look really pathetic right now.
FUCK OFF
FUCK OFF
YOU FEMINAZI SHITS WON’T BRING DOWN HIS MEMORY JUST FOR YOU SHITTY HATE MOVEMENT
BACK THE FUCK OFF RIGHT NOW
I found the angry nerd.
i found the feminist that never ever played a nintendo game
because nintendo is really good at including women and diversity
how can you call your movement a movement of peace when you spit on someone’s death and say “i’m glad he’s gone”
he did so much, more than you’ll ever do in your life
so shut up
Many of people a grieving the death of someone who took a very big place in their lives. The death of such person should not be an opportunity for you to bring in another trouble, which frankly, makes no sense in this situation because Nintendo made a lot of kick ass females.
I can start with Samus. There’s not much to say about it, it speaks for itself, Samus is at the top of her own whole Metroid franchise There are three female champions in Pokemon; Cynthia, Iris and Diantha. All highly respected in the Pokemon world. In smash games, you have Lucina from Fire Emblem, which is kick ass on her own for trying to change the fate for an entire team. From Smash again but also from her own franchise, you have Zelda.
Now not only did your point not really work in the first place, you’re using the death of someone really important to make it pass. When someone clearly upset call you out on it, you simply call them an ‘’angry nerd’’. Saying you’re glad he’s gone. That’s pretty heartless from you, and instead, you should maybe be apologizing.
Nintendo took a big place in a lot of people’s heart, helped them through a lot and the death of Satoru destroyed a lot of them, it’s a sad day in our lives, so instead of making it a feminist issue, try to have a little compassion.
“Nintendo can finally catch up with other gaming companies when it comes to their representation of women“
You were saying… ?
and that’s not even the half of the quarter of nintendo’s women characters
so please shut up
They can’t even fit in only one picture
I’m a feminist and a gamer and this is just infuriating. This is not the time to be like, “Now fix the company.” It’s not like he left the office, this man died. It’s not like we lost some tyrannical, oppressive madman, he ran a company whose goal was to entertain us.
Hell, even Sony had the decency to tweet their condolences and they’re competing with Nintendo. Even they can take time out from competing with this company to voice how much influence this man had on the industry and show them some love.

He saved HAL Laboratories from going down under and was a key to Kirby’s creation as a series.
He reprogrammed the entire Mother 2 / Earthbound game in less than six months. He’s the reason it exists.
The last game he engineered was Super Smash Bros. Melee.. out of necessity. He re-coded that as well so it would meet its November 2001 release.
He cut his salary in half to keep Nintendo afloat rather than cut positions at the bottom.
He gave the speech titled “Heart of a Gamer” in 2005, a key time before the Wii’s release, which shocked the world in the following generation.
Designer first, executive second. One of the few, if not, the first and only president of a major gaming company who was a designer first and foremost.
He was the fourth President of Nintendo and the first not by blood relation to get the honors due to his previous years of leadership.
Iwata believed in open communication with the fans and the press. He believed in sharing his and other developers’ passion for video game design. Thus, he created a series called, “Iwata Asks.”
Overall, as president, he has helped carry Nintendo into the new millennium. He brought in the most memorable public face of gaming known as Reginald Fils-Aime, he orchestrated one of Nintendo’s finest, most shocking years in popular culture since the NES with the Wii, and shouldered the burden and took full responsibility of both the GameCube and the Wii U financially. A man with this much business savvy, personality, passion, and unselfishness… will surely, surely be missed in the gaming realm.
“Even if we come from different sides of the world, speak different languages, even if we eat too many chips or rice balls, even if we have different tastes in games, every one of us here today is identical in the most important way: each one of us has the heart of a gamer.” - Satoru Iwata, Heart of a Gamer
Some leisurely Sunday sewing. Getting pretty close to finishing the corset! This is one of those situations when it would probably be cheaper (and far easier) to buy a RTW corset or just got with a boned bodice, but I’m trying to get better at corset making before I tackle Lulu. Hopefully it will also work for classic Wondie when I get around to that! #wonderwoman #haniemohd #dianaprince #dc #dccomics #comicbooks #comicbookcosplay #cosplay #wip #corsets #satin #corsetry
looks awesome so far! 8D i cannot wait to see how this turns out!!
Sadly Nintendo President Satoru Iwata has passed away. Let us remember him for the great work he did as both a game developer and as a president who led Nintendo through some difficult times and even opted to halve his own salary instead of laying off employees. He will be missed by many and his contributions to gaming will not be forgotten.
Games and Nintendo Directs aside, Iwata cutting his own salary when the Wii U was struggling so that nobody else would have to is probably the most genuine thing that the president of a major corporation has ever done. You could really tell that he cared about Nintendo which is such a rare thing to see in corporations in general, let alone video game developers. I am really sad to see him go.
chromaticbunbun asked: Well, idk about embarrassing but.. my fiancee and I fucked up our first kiss. We banged teeth and smooshed noses the first time and then burst into giggles. Then took us awkward 3-4 minutes to figure out how noses and lips worked (we're LDR, so I had just met her IN PERSON)
Awwwwwwww! That’s not embarrassing that’s adorable (we’ve also done that, too, not the first kiss but it has been done, banging teeth feels so weird!)
owennwright-deactivated20180901 asked: Will you have a table at Geek.Kon in Madison, Wi again this August? I think I've seen you there every year since my first con five years ago!
I will! We just got confirmation a couple of weeks ago :)
