The Inner Workings of a Chibi.

nightmareooze asked: Even though I know you're url is supposed to be read as bri chibi I always read it as breeshy bee in my head.

Bees?

Sorry, I couldn’t help but remember my favorite Cards Against Humanity card :) Cuz…. bees?

kin-ba-ri-deactivated20170315 asked: It's too damn early for you - let alone ANYONE - to have to get these rude anons together. Yeesh. Have a good day!

I dunno when I first wake up in the morning I’m thinking, “Ugh five more minutes,” not, “Hey let me hit up this fat girl on Tumblr.”  It’s mind boggling.

You have a good day, too!  At a reasonable hour :)

katyanoctis asked: Goddamn, girl. You handled all those nasty anons with class. What's with people? Who seriously thinks when they get up, "I'm going to try and make someone super miserable today! WHAT A GREAT PERSON I AM"? Whatever, man. Sucks for them that they can't deal with other people being happy with themselves. Hope you're coming to Youmacon again this year, because my crew is aiming for a Disney group cosplay and we gotta take super attractive pictures together again :D

That’s the thing that kills me, people who just hate someone being happy with themselves.  I’m fat.  I’ve never pretended like I wasn’t, never denied it, and never let it stop me from doing what I want to do.  Just because I’m fat doesn’t mean I can’t cosplay, write, do crafts, go to conventions, have friends, be in a DAMN good relationship, just… the fact that people would rather I hate myself than love myself is just sad.  You would really prefer it if someone sat around being miserable?  You really want to tear down a person you don’t even know because she’s dressed like a Disney princess and smiling, but is overweight? Really?

Damn, I feel bad for you, I’d hate to be living that kind of life.

It’s a giant, frustrating contradiction.  The assumption is that fat people sit around and do nothing, so they’re treated like crap, and told to get up and do something.  They get up and do something and… they’re treated like crap, because “no one wants to see your fat ass.”  This, right here, is why I’m like, “Stop listening to what they’re saying, just stop.  It doesn’t make any sense.”  Because it doesn’t.

Time to Preach the Gospel Truth

Fat is just a size, that’s it. It doesn’t mean you’re lazy. It doesn’t mean you’re ugly. It’s just a size. You can be happy. You can think your hair is cute. You can like that shirt you’re wearing. You can cosplay. You can write. You can be artistic. You can be anything, ANYTHING you want to be. Don’t let these unnamed people ever, EVER convince you otherwise.

We need to stop thinking so lowly of ourselves because of appearance. We need to stop listening to what society is trying to tell us, because society doesn’t know what the fuck it wants. “Too fat.” “Too thin.” “Too everything.” If you keep trying to go by society’s standards you’ll be left with too little, too late.

pozerninja-blog asked: I think the anons are the same bored person. Glad you're not bothered by pathetic trolls

Damn, that is a very, very bored person then.  And so early in the morning, too.

protanyakateyo asked: All of your positivity has helped this size 20 woman engineer to stop putting myself down all the time. You also are an amazing author, I cant put your books down and have inspired me to write again. You are awesome.

That is great to hear!  Do not ever put yourself down, you hear me?  You look that mirror in the face and smile back at it  :)

Also, omg I am going to spaz hardcore because a fan of my writing always, always makes my day  <3 <3 <3  I’m just about to start my convention season of getting our books out there, so this is the exact motivation I needed!  Thank you so much!

ksswold asked: You don't have to reply, but I wanted you to know this! From a fellow happily fat lady, you are an amazing person who has more of an impact on tumblr that you may know! I followed you at first bc your makeup and cosplays are on point, but everytime you post, it brings me confidence because it makes me understand that we ARE allowed to be overweight and beautiful and happy with ourselves!! Honestly, your blog has made me 100x happier with my body and I think I love you for it! Thank you x

Oh no, I have to reply!  Because you just hit the nail on the head!  We are, most definitely, allowed to be happy with ourselves.  We should be happy with ourselves.  This idea that fat means sad and miserable needs to quit, right now. Because here’s a secret that no one ever tells you: thin doesn’t mean happy, either.  I know that’s what they tell us fat folks, but that’s just creating more harm than good.  This is because we assume that all it takes to be happy is losing weight, but if you notice, there are thin people who aren’t happy.  They have bad things going on in their lives that make them unhappy, but to us, that just cannot be possible, and it creates this unneeded tension. How dare thin people feel insecure about their looks, they’re thin!  They’re perfect!  They need to stop whining at least their not fat.

Happiness is not based on size.  It’s just not.  Happiness is an emotion, and if you think about it, the things that make you happy are not based on your size.  For me, its my partner, my family, my friends, going to conventions, promoting my books and art, meeting new people, heck, watching an episode of Gotham or the Flash, seeing the new Avengers trailer, the new Mortal Kombat coming out… none of that is based on size.

You’re allowed to smile.  You’re allowed to wear cute clothes and like your hair. You’re allowed to have people around you who think you’re the best person they’ve ever met.  Everyone is.  Everyone is allowed to be happy, and should be happy, and that’s what makes these hateful comments so sad.  Just what is going on in that person’s life to come over to some random girl’s Tumblr and spit out hate?  When you look at it like that you realize that, wow, it could be a lot worse.  I could feel good about myself by tearing others down, others who I don’t even know.

i-aint-gonna-beg-you-blog asked: tfw your favourite lovely queen is getting anon hate for no reason :^(

But look at the positivity pouring in!  It’s getting so much better out there  :)

as-eventide-falls asked: I've been a fan of yours for a couple of years now, and I just wanted to say that you're an amazing person and I wish I had as much confidence as you do. ^-^

Let me tell you something about confidence: it takes time to build up, and even when you do, it’s not always there.  I have my bad days, too.  But honestly, these comments are all things that have been said to me in some way, shape, or form, so I’m at the point of, “Wow this still happens, huh?”  I’ve been here for 31 years and I’ve been called out of my name many times, the only difference now is that people can hide when they’re doing it, and to me that makes it even more pathetic than it was back then.  I’m not saying it doesn’t happen now, but the fact that someone can just click on a message box, click “anon,” and spew hate?  It’s gotten much easier, which just makes it even dumber than it was back then.

And honestly, as much hate that happens, you can see that love and support comes from all over.  It overshadows it all  :)

aokaji asked: Dearie me that's a lot of mean anons! Be it many people or (most likely a v bored) one, I'm glad it's not getting you down. It's obvious from all the good asks you're now getting that you inspire so many people, there's so much positivity here now! X

Emphasis on “very bored.”  I mean I never understood what the point was of giving anyone a hard time.  Why?  Do you really have nothing else better to do?  Then to tell a fat person that they’re fat and like food or look like something that’s fat?  Does it really bother people that much to see a fat person, well… exist?  Why?  We all have lives to live, and the more hate I get the more I realize how sad of a life someone must have if the only thing they can do for entertainment is call some fat girl names.
