THIS IS TOO PRECIOUS FOR WORDS

KYAH OMG I miss this series so much.

Merry a little after midnight on Christmas Eve y'all  <3

I want to say this now just in case people are busy with their loved ones tomorrow.  First of all, I never thought there would be so many of you so soon. I never thought me frying chicken in response to a bully would have such a big impact, nor did I think that article I wrote would draw in so many of you. The last thing I expected come Christmas time was that I’d have fans, like actually fans, who geek out over seeing me at a con, 3 published books, an article for xoJane, and big plans to keep cosplaying, writing, doing crafts, and going to more conventions than ever next year.

I think we always dream of the things we want happening, but when it starts to get to the point where you actually see glimpses of it coming true, it’s hard to imagine. And that wouldn’t be possible without all of you.

So thank you, and Happy Holidays.  And enjoy some random Christmas pictures!

Ok but this is one of my favorite Disney endings because they decided to be happy together as frogs rather than try and find a way to be human and by finding that happiness they got to be humans again like that is rad as hell thank you Disney

And then she got her restaurant and he worked there too.  He didn’t give her the restaurant she earned it and she got her dream through hard work. There wasn’t this moment of, “Now that she’s a princess she will magically get what she wants with a blink of an eye,” it was like, “Hey look she got her restaurant because she kept trying and has skills,” and it’s not like it’s his restaurant or he bought it and gave it to her it was like, “Nope, all hers, and he’s serving tables and supporting her because he loves her, she’s in charge of the place and he accepts that.”

This is why I love Tiana so much :)  I mean yeah I went in with my biased OMG BLACK PRINCESS WOOT but then after seeing the movie it was like “Oh snap she’s amazing and he’s amazing and everything is amazing!”

And another great review

My first five star review on my new book!  Here it is:

The first thing that struck me about Double Hue is that it is written in present tense, which always makes it difficult for me to really get into a story. However, the writing itself was good and somewhere halfway through the prologue I had been drawn in thoroughly and felt the pain of loss as the story of a young man learning that his lover had been killed began to unfold.

It got even better.

As the story description says, Gable learns that his boyfriend, Avery, has been killed, but every time he dreams, it’s as if time resets and Avery is alive again. Most of the first half of the story occurs inside the mind of this confused young man as he tries to determine reality from dream, while also trying to deal with studies for his final year in university as well as the issue of ‘coming out’ to his parents.

The narrative is artfully done so that the reader lives within the thoughts of Gable, feeling his uncertainty and struggling to determine what is real. I soon lost any sense of what tense the story was written in and was completely caught up in this dilemma.

Everything becomes very real about halfway through and the action increases to a fever pitch. There were times that I wanted to yell at a character “Why don’t you…” or “Check the computer history to find out..”, but these minor frustrations just show how involved I had become as I read. The parents might have played a more active role, but the artistry put into how the primary characters deal with the conflict more than makes up for any lack of activity from peripheral characters.

I read the second half of this book in one sitting, ignoring all the other books I had on the go. It was that engrossing. Easy 4.5 stars for this one.
