The Inner Workings of a Chibi.

I’m not sure who reblogged the Sailor Moon mirror progress pictures because it has a lot more notes then it did yesterday, so thank you for that  <3  In case you missed it, the mirror is actually done now.

blurred lines is catchy in the way ring around the rosie is catchy before you find out it’s about the plague

SOMEONE FINALLY SAID IT

Oh.  My.  God.  This is the perfect explanation.  I actually really like the music and beat to the song, and just the sound of it, but then… the lyrics… and just… it’s like you’re in the car nodding your head to the music and then, “I got somethin’ that’ll surely tear your ass in two,” and you just kinda stop like, “… wha-?”

“I know you want it~”

And suddenly you can’t groove to the beat anymore because you can’t believe you just heard that.

Oh my God, Haruka…

I’m reblogging this because I want to stress how pleased I am that people like my portrayal of Sailor Uranus/Haruka.

I had no idea what I was doing and I was a nervous wreck, but I think the take-home lesson for me was “fake it ‘til you make it”, because despite feeling like a total hack the whole time, I think the end result was really successful.

I just wanted to share that with you guys, in case you ever think you’re not talented enough or “pretty” enough or “normal” enough to do something - just rock it anyway. It doesn’t matter that a real agency would never sign me because I’m not tall enough or skinny enough - what matters is that I walked in there faking confidence and I grabbed that sword and I modeled as if I belonged there alongside those real agency models.

And so while I’m still super nervous and embarrassed about the whole thing, I’m also really ridiculously happy and flattered that people like what I’ve put forth here. Thank you for your support!

It’s confidence like that - not like, self absorbed confidence or even the confidence I see represented generally, but confidence that the day will go on - even if today doesn’t go so well - that is important to remember.

It’s not confidence ‘I’m good enough’ more than it’s confidence ‘I have to try this - for myself’. It usually turns out okay! And if not, you can always practice until it does turn out good enough - at least for yourself, to know you improved. I think that’s a positive way to live.

As a Uranus fan, I was both excited Kris got to do it, AND pleased at the result! Way to rock Kanji and Haruka this year~ o_o What a fluid babe~

Favorite group of Sailor Scouts, and my girl Kris makes a damn good Haruka/Sailor Uranus  <3  And here you thought she just drew amazing kannao OTP art, it turns out she’s a beautiful cosplayer too!

If you (unfortunately) don't sell that Sailor Moon mirror at the con will you be putting it on Etsy? x.x It's so amazing I wish I could go to the con

Yep!  If it doesn’t sell at a con it’ll be on the Etsy page.  I can also look into doing another one if people are interested  <3

Here it is!  The progress pictures of the Sailor Moon mirror leading up to the final product at the end.  Thanks so much everyone for the great response  <3  I can’t wait to bring this to Daisho Con and put it in the art show, now I just need to figure out what to set the price at, lol.

This was a lot of fun to do.  I’ve had this mirror sitting in my closet for years and wanted to do something with it.  With the return of Sailor Moon the answer was clear  :)  If you click on each picture there’s comments on how each part was done.

If you’re going to Daisho, see you there!

This post is also known as “why do I take on crazy projects the week of a con?”  I plan on having a full set of progress pictures when this is completely done, but this is the progress I made today.  Started with the blanket mirror, sketched Sailor Moon in dry erase marker so it could be wiped off the glass easily, then handpainted her and added stars  :)

All that’s left to do is the symbols on the round parts.  The inner and outer scouts (8 circles), Chibi Moon (1 circle), Sailor Starlights (1 circle because they have the same symbol), Tuxedo Mask (1 circle), and Sailor Moon’s locket (1 circle).

This will be in the art show at Daisho this weekend, along with some more nifty things, including a Black Butler mirror and a set of Attack on Titan woodburnings.  Gonna finish all the crazy things  *__*

Whee art!

Calling all reviewers, bloggers, interviewers, and more!

brichibiwritesthings:

So my new M/M romance book came out this weekend, and I would love to get some reviews for it, some interviews, and all that jazz.  If you’re someone who reviews books and likes the M/M romance genre, send me a message.  I have copies I can give out to reviewers  :)  I would want reviews as many places as possible (Amazon, Goodreads, your blog, Barnes and Noble, ect. ect.)

Here’s a blurb of the book so you know what you’re getting into:

“Maybe he’s right. Maybe I am the cause of this. Maybe you were normal before meeting me.”

When something tragic happens, you want nothing more than to close your eyes and make all of the pain go away. For Gable Peterson it’s a little more complicated than that. When detective Maurice Ashford shows up at his door with news that his boyfriend, Avery Blair, has been found dead, Gable is left devastated. Seeking some sort of comfort, Gable closes his eyes and imagines a world where none of this happened.

Only, when Gable wakes up, he’s surprised to see that Avery is still alive.

Here is where it’s available at the moment.  Paperback copies should be coming in about a month or so:

Amazon

Eternal Press  (need to be registered to get it since it’s adult)

Hey all of you book reviewers, are you interested in my new book?  Do you write reviews?  Do interviews?  Things like that?  Then message me  <3  If you like m/m romance that is full of weird supernatural “omg why can’t I just write a happy couple why do people have to suffer in strange ways that are out of this world” and “do you always have to have a geeky boy like seriously all the time I mean Kingdom Hearts is awesome but still” elements, then this may be the perfect book for you to review  ^^
