Oh lord I finished all of this in one day. CONvergence is this weekend, and I made some new things to put in the art show. I figured, I should give it a shot, and hopefully people like it enough to bid on it :)
The first picture is of a large woodburning/painting of the tardis. The tardis itself is woodburned, and the words on the sign are actually legible! Everything else is painted to look like it’s flying through space.
The second picture is of a 10 piece coaster set for Game of Thrones of all of the house symbols.
If you’re going to CONvergence, feel free to check out the art show for items like this from me ^^
I have a feeling that this is going to be a huge project with a lot of research and such, because I want to do it justice, you know? But comments like this help, a lot, because I’m assuming you’re happy with your girlfriend’s decision to not change who she is? I want to try and capture positive moments like that. I have NO IDEA when this book is going to happen, but it will!
This amazingly beautiful women named brichibi on tumblr was out and about on Sunday in this dress made by her skilled partner! Give her some love guys!
Awww! Thanks for much for posting this!
Reblogging because the dress I made for my wifey got lots of attention this last weekend!
Reblogging the reblogging of the reblogging because it’s me!
This interview is important to me, because the woman who interviewed me actually brought up fanfiction. I don’t think people realize how important fanfiction really is in the writing world. Check out the interview for my answer to the question, “What has fanfiction done for you as a writer?“
Reblogging because I know a lot of you like my headcanons and fics, well, this is what those things did for me as a writer :)
Wow suddenly I have more followers. Hi hi, and hello! I will try and make this blog quality, but most likely it won’t be quality. It will be spazzy, and sometimes opinionated about things, and stuff, but mostly spazzy, and geeky, and nerdy, and… no seriously guys I’m a spaz.
I had a thought of writing some sort of Geeky GLBT romance anthology thing while at Animinneapolis this weekend. You know, book one would be about conventions, book two would be about video games, book three would be about fanfiction, and so on and so forth. I guess…
I really like the idea of including romance and relationships that represents all couples, but with a LGBT or minority-sexuality focus. I don’t think I’ve ever read a story about a bi couple or asexual couple that has done the relationships any justice.
That’s why I want to try. I feel like it’s either gay romance or lesbian romance and… that’s about it? And they’re in separate books. But after going to the “It gets better” panel so many times and meeting so many different people it’s like… there’s so many of us in the geek community, what if there was a series of book that included all of us? As a whole? And without the silly generalizations.
I have ideas running through my head, but I’m not going to lie, I know nothing about, for example, asexuality so that’ll take some research because I don’t want to misrepresent anything. I mean I know what I've heard and it’s probably all wrong >.<
I had a thought of writing some sort of Geeky GLBT romance anthology thing while at Animinneapolis this weekend. You know, book one would be about conventions, book two would be about video games, book three would be about fanfiction, and so on and so forth. I guess the question is, do I write it strictly as gay romance, or should it be all sorts of romance (gay, lesbian, straight, trans, bi, asexual, and so on and so forth). Because I think I would like to try and tackle everything over the course of the books which would require a bunch of research on things I find interesting, but know nothing about. I would really like to try writing things for underrepresented couples, like asexual couples and things like that.
Thoughts? Advice?
Reblogging so more people can see and chime in on this idea :)
*incoherent noises*
So Princess Tiana went amazingly well at Animinneapolis (like better than expected, like thank you so much everyone for making me want to wear the hell out of this dress, because I don’t have the best confidence in the world in regards to cosplay sometimes so really, thank you. Same thanks and love to the people of Anime Central back in May). For some reason the only picture I have is from Anime Iowa, I really need to get into the habit of taking pictures of my cosplay ^^;;;
Anyhow, we were thinking of other versions of Tiana to do and whatnot while we were at our table during Animinneapolis. We already have a plan for Disney Princess armor, but then babe mentioned that there’s a Jim Shore version of her dress. For those who don’t know, Jim Shore does these ridiculously beautiful statues of the princesses with all sorts of fancy designs, like the Belle dress I have. So she showed me a picture.
Oh. My. God!
The picture she was thinking of was much simplier, but I guess this is a newer one he’s done. I’m screaming. I really, really want this dress *__* Look at how pretty it is! I’m on a mission to convince my partner to make it, because she does such a wonderful job on all of my costumes (her name is snowtigra go show her some love she’s my magical needle and thread lady).
