Right on!
Please, everyone was doing this last night and I missed it.
So my editor interviewed me for her blog :) I answered a bunch of questions about writing, my geekiness, and things about race/gender/sexual preferences and all that. It was a lot of fun. Hopefully, I’ll be doing more interviews in the future.
Yes, that’s me in cosplay for the picture, because that’s part of who I am :) Check out the interview!
The first book of the Hunters series is currently with the publisher, in the editing queue. So while we all wait for updates, here’s an interesting tidbit.
This series started out as a role play between my partner and I while we had a long distance relationship in college. She was down in Iowa and I was up here in Minnesota. I drove down to see her at least once a month (a four hour drive one way!) and during the rest of the month we hung out on mIRC and AIM throwing our favorite anime characters into new plotlines of our own creation. Somewhere along the line these characters took on personalities, lives and stories of their own so they were completely different from the characters they were named after. Years later I got bored at work and wrote a scene between two of the characters just for fun, and that became the first scene of this book.
While we wait, I’d love to answer questions about the series if you guys have any. So, any questions for me?
Hey everyone, in case you missed it, I have another book coming out. This one is with my lovely partner and it has its very own tumblr page since it’s going to be a series. Be sure to follow it to get the latest updates :) There’s already a few teasers and snippets posted.
Also, we’re both open for questions in regards to the series, or writing in general ^^
Kanji Tatsumi by The Keeper Thief Cosplay
Kanji Tatsumi is finished! Okay, almost. I think I want to add some rivets to the jean pockets, but that’s about it.
Congrats to Jovan for building his first cosplay garment; those jeans look fabulous. He also got the wig to stay on his head. He is an innovative lifesaver and looks amazing to boot!
nnnnnNNNNGH HOT DAMN LOOK AT THAT KANJI *A*
Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit. Hot damn.
*blush* Um… thanks anon <3 I’m going to try and answer this in the cutest way possible, just for you!
Heart: Are you in love? If so, does the one you love know?
I-I… w-why would you ask me that?! *heavy blush**nervous squirming**quickly looks off to the side* I… I am in love, but… but I’m not sure if she knows. Um… but… someday, I hope snowtigra-senpai notices me. EEE! I can’t believe I just said her name! Now she knows! *runs away*

True story. Back when I worked at GameStop, before I hit assistant manager, the previous assistant manager said the last one to me because, and I quote, “I’m also a medic, I deal with women all the time so I know.” (let’s not get into how a medic for the army somehow has time to work at a video game store that’s not the moral of this story).
The woman he was ringing up almost jumped over the counter and bashed his face in. The way she said to him, “Oh no, you have NO IDEA WHAT IT’S LIKE,” is still something I remember to this day, and it’s been several years since this happened.
