Really, personally, I love Kanji’s new look at the end of the game, though I admit it’ll take a bit to wrap my head around it it completely.
Though I guess the important thing is to remember, just because he’s cleaned up a bit, doesn’t mean Kanji still can’t kick your ass.
I mean, come on,…
… now I want this to happen. Though I think the new look is like, at the very very end, when there’s no more fighting or whatnot, but I would love to see them run into the T.V. one more time, Kanji (and Naoto’s) new looks included (I want team up attacks with new!Kanji and new!Naoto now).
But I agree, just because the piercings and bleached hair is gone doesn’t mean that it’s not the same Kanji we all fell in love with. Kanji was always a good person to begin with – the sewing, the good heart, ect. – and just because he’s like this doesn’t mean he won’t throw a chair at your ass (come on, this is the guy who beat up bikers for making too much noise and disturbing his mother). If anything, this new look (to me) will make me love Kanji more, because he’s probably going to be trying to like… go to school, and study, and trip over his own feet in the process and say all the wrong things but mean well (please let Naoto find this adorable, Atlus).

I’m so sad I want everyone to spaz about Kanji’s new look, especially Naoto, and I want everyone to spaz about Naoto dressing like that, especially Kanji. I just want more Kanji and Naoto, o.k.?! That being (not) said, I like how in the new picture everyone is in casual clothing, like they were all just hanging out before the big departure. Everyone looks so happy and pretty, and like a really good group of friends (I like how Marie is there too, like she’s actually part of the group, too, not just for Souji but for everyone, like she’s friends with all of them – which makes me wonder how much she does in the game, is she part of like the camping trip, the pageant, and things like that? Is she there during the Nanako hospital stuff, or hell, part of any battles?)
Also, both Naoto and Marie ditched their hats? I want some deep hat conversations between the two of them, lol!
I wonder if there are certain requirements to obtain this ending. There’s five modes of difficulty and a certain new social link where I’m pretty sure things can get severally fucked up, I wonder if there’s more endings, like, “Really bad, bad, o.k., good, perfect,” or… something. I have this feeling that in order to get this ending where everyone is casual and, well, being themselves (i.e. Kanji with no bleached hair, ect.) there’s something you have to do… is there going to be a guide for this game, because seriously I want it for pretty pictures and possible tips, you know, like, “Don’t say that shit or you’re going to blow it…” I also wonder how December - March works, since not only are there events, but according to screenshots you can go inside the T.V. and dungeon crawl. Is it just to level up for Izanami, because, remember, in the PS2 version you could not fight her and just leave… is something else going on during those months or are you really just going into the T.V. for the hell of it? I’m really excited for extra events during those months though, especially since there seems to be a Valentine’s Day thing please let me be able to push Kanji and Naoto together!
In conclusion, I need this game, badly. I already see a Vita bundle coming out in October with Assassin’s Creed that’s the same price the Vita is now, except with a free game and white. Might just have to do that.

This sums up my feelings perfectly. I know it won’t end the argument that’s still going (though it’s fandom, that’s what happens in fandom) but it explains my feelings completely. Naoto Shirogane is awesome. Period.

Was that me who said I was done with Persona 4 coasters? Yeah… that’s a lie. This is just a sketch and will be woodburned. I always sketch on the coasters first then burn/shade them. This time, it’s Naoto’s turn. With the novel coming out soon I wanted to do something with both versions of her (because I actually like her new design and her old design).
Around the edge I want to write her quote from the game, “I am a woman. And a detective,” because, you know, just because her new design is more womanly doesn’t make her less awesome. I mean… she’s got a motorcycle now! a male cyborg motorcycle but still a motorcycle…
That moment when…
… you’ve sketched 26 coasters to woodburn for Anime Iowa and 10 of them are Persona 4 related. I know that doesn’t sound like a lot, but there’s like, only one or two from other series. Persona 4 keeps dominating. I have got to move on!
After a few more sketches… I can stop whenever I want, I don’t have a problem!
