Hi all. Many of you don’t know me personally, but I’m a sometimes-writer about anime, and work for the Anime Detour anime convention in Minneapolis, MN putting together the AMV Contests and running panels like “Shiny New Anime,” “Don’t Judge and Anime by its Cover,” and “Anime for Grown-Ups.”
Last year I left a bad/emotionally abusive marriage and have not been able to move on due to one major issue – the house we purchased together was not sold. After months on the market, we have received a good offer, but unfortunately it will not be enough to cover the entirety of the mortgage due to how much was lost during the bursting of the housing bubble. I am trying to raise the rest of the money to cover that so I will be able to close that chapter of my life and move on from it. The closing will be at the end of February, which is when I will need to pay up. I am using GoFundMe to help give a boost to the money I have already been able to set aside. See my campaign page here for more details on the situation: http://www.gofundme.com/kv6xjo
In exchange, for those who want it, I am offering art in exchange for donations. You can see my Deviant Art page HERE for some further examples of the type of thing you might receive. Here is the scale:
For donations $10-24 - A black-and-white sketch/lineart of one character (check out my Scraps for some examples)
For $25-$49 - A black-and-white sketch of multiple characters or a full-color single character.
For $50-$99 - A full-color group shot
For $100+ - Contact me and we can discuss! For those of you who aren’t able contribute funds or who aren’t comfortable giving money to a stranger, a reblog would also really help me out. I believe in the goodness and enthusiasm of the Tumbler community to help those in need, and promise to “pay-it-forward” at every opportunity in the future.
Thank you all for your help!

In the many adventures of Bri and the “Road to Anime Milwaukee,” many coasters are being made for our artist alley table. So many, oh lord, so many @.@
No sleep til Milwaukee! Just kidding there will be sleep BUT NOT MUCH!
This is what happens when I find clearance wood pieces at JoAnns, I take it home and woodburn part of a Super Mario Brothers level. Here are some pics from beginning to end, from the initial sketch of the end of World 1-1, then the burning process, all done by hand @.@
Why do I do this things?
But I do like the brinks Mario is standing on little woodburner tool did its thing!
Anyhow, it’ll be at our artist alley table for Anime Milwaukee next month along with some other woodworks, plushies, and all sorts of fun stuff :) Whee con season!
