I think what hurts my heart the most about Iwata passing away is that he was legit one of the last people in the industry who believed that video games should just be fun, and that everyone should be able to play and enjoy them.
None of this casual vs. hardcore garbage or whatever it is having to “prove” yourself to be a “real gamer”. He really believed that video games were meant for everyone who wanted to play.
And it hurts my heart to know that there’s one less person in the industry that believes in that.
