… but I recently watched the dub for the Persona 4 anime since I got the bluray to review, and I like the dub (always thought the dub cast was great since the original game release) but I noticed that they don’t have any of the Japanese honorifics in the dub for the anime. I… don’t really get why, since not only did the original game keep them, but so did Arena.
Also… Yosuke doesn’t call Yu “partner,” which he also does in the original game and Arena. And… him calling him “bro” just… doesn’t feel right. And no, I’m not just saying that for my Yu/Souji/Yosuke pairing feelings, but just… in general, it doesn’t sound nearly as meaningful to me.
Here’s the review in case you’re curious, which I do mention this in: http://www.fandompost.com/2012/09/17/persona-4-the-animation-part-one-blu-ray-anime-review/
Am I just a snob for thinking this? Am I being too picky?

NOT AT ALL. I actually feel the exact same way. The lack of honorifics and some of the translation is…eurgh. :/ ionitta answered: No, not really. This just made me like the Japanese version more
sennari answered: I noticed the lack of honorifics right away, but i didn’t know yosuke called him bro instead. that makes me really annoyed >:c
