The Inner Workings of a Chibi.
Headcanon: In which Naoto Shirogane cosplays Liam Neeson

This is what happens when seeing the preview to “Taken 2” one too many times (and being bored at work)

Also, suddenly, I have 4 more followers in like… the span of a day?  What the heck?!

Police work is dangerous.  That’s one of the first things you learn when you decide to take hold of the badge.  It’s dangerous, they say, and bad things can – and do – happen.

Naoto Shirogane isn’t foolish enough to believe that she is immune to this, but when it happens to her it still catches her off-guard.

She’s in the middle of a tough case, a bad one that deals with topics she’d rather not discuss.  However, considering the circumstances, she has no choice.  Rape victims.  A deadly killing spree.  This is a killer who is nothing like the cop she had to deal with years ago back in Inaba.  It also makes a difference that other worlds and persona aren’t involved.

This psychopath is very real.

And this psychopath has taken her husband, Kanji Tatsumi.

The first thing you’re told to do is keep calm and keep a clear head.  No one in the history of policeticity has listened to this first step when family is involved.  That’s when you learn what the actual first step is: find the psycho, save your family, and enjoy beating the crap out of him.

Unfortunately for this killer, he’s made the grave mistake of underestimating Detective Shirogane-Tatsumi.  He’s seen pictures of her, has taken in her small, seemingly delicate frame and has laughed, and laughed.  She’s got quite the record when it comes to solving cases, but she’s built like a child and, clearly, no match for him.  He thinks he’s going to enjoy himself when she comes to the rescue, is going to relish in her dear sweet husband screaming out curses as he slowly breaks her into several, unrepairable pieces.

She finds him faster than he had anticipated.  That’s all right, he still has the upper hand.  He’s got her husband tied up to a chair, the tall man screaming “Naoto!” in the background as cop and killer face each other.  The killer decides to focus on taunting the small detective, going on and on about how he’s studied her, how he’s going to enjoy doing things to her that he definitely should not be talking about in front of her husband.  He instructs her to drop the gun, puts a knife to Kanji’s throat and smirks when the tiny woman sets the gun on the floor, her hands slowly raising up into the air.

Soon the man slinks over, twirling the knife between his fingers.  When he stands in front of her he takes a moment to let his eyes wander, licks his lips, and starts to slide the knife over her shirt.  It only takes one button to become cut loose before Naoto is on the move.  She’s still as fast as Kanji remembers her being, maybe not as fast as Yosuke but she makes up for it with her size and her unpredictable nature in battle.  She raises her knee up in-between the man’s legs, Kanji wincing when he hears the hard crunch that echos around the area.  The killer doesn’t scream, no, not yet, that doesn’t come until he drops to his knees, Naoto taking a moment to punch him square in the nose.  He topples down to the ground with a stream of blood sliding down to his lips, Naoto quickly grabbing her gun and running over to Kanji.

She’s not able to reach him right away.  The killer moves quickly, swinging his legs to trip her down to the ground.  She loses hold of the gun and the killer moves over to her, crawling forward and pinning her down to the cold, concrete floor.  This time, he’s smart enough to press his knees against hers, keeping her in place, “Nice try, little bitch, but-”

That word seems to trigger something in Naoto.  Kanji almost, almostfeels sorry for the guy when she turns her head, sinking her teeth into his arm.  The killer howls loudly in pain, trying to shaking her off but her teeth are firmly planted into his skin.

Kanji feels like he should’ve mention Naoto’s past experience with crazy cops and their need to refer to women asbitches, but then, it wouldn’t be nearly as fun.

Finally, the man slides away from Naoto, the detective darting forward to grab her gun again.  The crazy killer watches as she approaches him, laughing, “Y-you wouldn’t kill me.  You’re a good little detective, you wouldn’t-”

Kanji finds himself wincing again when Naoto whips the gun across the man’s face, smacking him with it so hard that he blacks out instantly.

“No.  But I would certainly enjoy knocking you out,” she whispers.

That night, when they arrive home, Naoto is extra clingy.  She holds onto Kanji as they lay in each other’s arms, mumbling unnecessary apologies for her dangerous line of work and how she never intended for him to get involved.

“You kidding?"  He says, running his hand over her back to calm her down, "I wasn’t worried at all.  I knew you would get me out of there.”

“Y-you cannot just depend on-”

“Yes I can,” he leans forward, gently kissing her lips, “And I do.  Because I know that you’ll always be there when I need you.”

“That maniac could have-”

“No.”

“Kanji, he was going to-”

Again, Kanji shakes his head, “No.”

“Y-you do not know that!  What if I had not made it in time?!”

“Were you planning on being late?”

“What?  No, of course not, I would never be-”

“Exactly,” he whispers, and kisses her again, “You would never be,” he says, kissing her one more time.

It’s useless to argue with him, the idiot.  Naoto wonders if he realizes how much danger he had actually been in, or if he had spent the entire time going on and on about something ludicrousmy wife is gonna kick your assoryou kidnapped thewrong guy, you dipshit, when she finds you, you are so dead.

Knowing Kanji and is constant need to praise his wife, Naoto can figure it out.  So she just sighs, letting herself sink into his husbands arms, and lets herself relish in the feeling of being the heroine of the story.
