D, I, K :)

D:  Have you ever changed for someone, if yes, how?  The only answer that comes to mind which makes me a bit sad, looking back, is that I lost weight to fit into a dress for a wedding.  The sad part?  I was nine.  I was nine and my dad was getting remarried, and my future stepmother wanted me to lose weight to fit into my flower girl dress.  She had me doing these crazy weird exercises, like running up a step, then down a step, then up again and down again.

I:  What’s the most important part of a relationship? There are a bunch of important parts, it’s hard to pick one because to me everything is important.  I’ll pick one thing that I really love about the relationship with my partner, and it’s that we’re friends.  I mean the kissing and stuff is great, yeah, but we also like being around each other, we like hanging out together, we have these ridiculous date nights where we can sit and watch anime, or movies, or she’ll watch me play video games, and just… that’s really important.  Love is important, but liking a person is important too.

K.  When you are dating somebody do you believe in going on “breaks?”  “Breaks” as in “breaking up for a little while?”  No.  BUT!  I do think it’s important to have space.  I love my partner to death, but we don’t spend every second of the day together.  Even now, she’s in the basement sewing and I’m upstairs painting.  It’s distracting to be around someone all the time, we don’t get as much done when we’re in the same room (we try and fool ourselves to think that we can craft in the same space, but we get much more done if we’re in different spots in the house).
