Headcanon: Hands
This is all shadow-naoto’s fault. We were chatting during a slow spell at work and the conversation lead to this short snippet about the most important thing in Naoto’s life.
***
Naoto watches in a dreadful sort of slow motion as her boyfriend reaches for the figurine with his large, rough hands. There’s a childlike wonder in his eyes as he speaks the words, “Neo Featherman,” and, “cool,” his hands grabbing onto the blue figurine – Naoto’s personal favorite. Kanji’s hands are meant for doing a lot of things. They’re meant to stitch together cute bunnies and hold soft, pink fabrics, needle and thread creating a masterpiece of cute, fluffy, and loveable. Those hands are meant to carry folding chairs – shields, actually, once senpai insists that he upgrade his weapon. They’re meant to bash shadows over the head with blunt objects or punch the living crap out of the tarot card that floats in front of him. Those hands are even meant for holding her kissably close, for her to curl up into when she’s sleeping in his warm, skull T-shirt at night. They’re meant for sliding over her naked back when they are intimate, or grabbing onto the bedsheets when she’s feeling particularly adventurous. But. Holding one of her limited edition Neo Featherman figurines? She snatches the figure away and gives Kanji a hard glare, “No.” Neo-Featherman is where Naoto Shirogane draws the line with those hands.
