Wow! This is actually a good choice! I was expecting Kanji or Naoto but… o.k., here we go!
So I think Adachi is a very interesting character. I wrote a headcanon thing a little bit ago about it. I feel like there’s two sides of the Adachi, urm… fandom?
To be continued under the cut for SPOILERS!

Either people find him adorable and goofy or they think he’s some murderous bastard who rapes women (which… I’m not sure where the rape comes from because he never did that). To me, he makes such an interesting character, because I actually think both sides are somewhat true while, at the same time, he’s more than that.
I think his ties with Dojima, Nanako, and that whole dynamic is actually genuine feelings he has. I actually don’t think he planned on Nanako getting kidnapped and that whole high speed chase thing was a bit true, as in, he didn’t want her to get involved (as Naoto even says, she wasn’t on T.V. at all, what reason would a child be on T.V. for in such a small town? Adachi probably never expected her to be a victim because of this, she was in the newspaper and mentioned briefly on T.V. but not by name, so when it all came together, it was a surprise to him. I don’t think he was faking that at all).
There’s the social link in Golden, for one, that gives you a better look at Adachi, but even before that there’s things like, when you beat him and they say Dojima requested a stretcher, he actually looks like he regrets what he’s done. There’s also the fact that he bothered to write you that letter in the true ending that prompts you to ask more questions and seek the truth. If he were really just some murderous villain, he wouldn’t have bothered, to me.
It’s also interesting that Adachi is sort of a reflection of what could’ve been. You could’ve used the power in the same way – hell, in some endings, you kind of do! There’s the Accomplice Ending in Golden where you let him get away, and there’s the Bad Ending where you throw Namatame into the T.V. But Adachi has the same persona as you for a reason. He has the power you have, except he’s twisted it. This way, you can’t just say, “It’s because he shook Izanami’s hand,” because let’s face it, so did you and Namatame, and all three characters follow a different path. Adachi’s path might be one of a villain, but I don’t think he has a solid plan. Sure, he goes on about the real world being a drag and all that, but as I said, there’s things in that world I think he cared for – Dojima and Nanako, but by then, he’s too far gone.
So, all and all, I like him :)
