Free! reminds me of the Hawkeye Initiative. If you don’t know what that is, a simple explanation is: a project where Hawkeye is put in the crazy poses that female comic book heroines are often put in.
Free! reminds me of that, because I guess there’s complaints because of the ridiculous sexualization of the boys (seriously main character-san takes off his clothes at the mere whisper of “pool” and “water”) while the fans of the series are like, “… well… yeah… welcome to the female anime character stereotype guys.”
