FEELS!  OTP!  SCIENCE BROS!  AH!  

But seriously, I loved the little moments like this.  I love when little things in pairings can mean so much.  Like all he did was zap him with the thing, right?  No big deal.  But everyone’s like SHIT DON’T HE’LL SNAP!  And Tony is just like, “Whatever we’re having fun.”  Because no one really realizes that, you know, the Hulk doesn’t just lose his shit over nothing.  You can still talk to him and be friends with him.  When he gets angry enough to change it’s usually for good reason: people trying to kill him, aliens destroying the city, BIG THINGS!  Like, you know, MOST NORMAL PEOPLE!  

Most people don’t sweat the small stuff and most people know the difference between banter and someone seriously trying to hurt you.  When people are seriously trying to hurt us, we fight back.  Or at least we should, which I think the Hulk symbolizes perfectly, because sometimes he does take a lot of crap and you kinda WANT him to snap but he’s so scared of himself that he’ll sit and take it.  He’ll sit and let people be afraid of him, and push him away, and not trust him, and that HURTS, but he’ll take it, because he’s so afraid of himself.  Then Tony comes along like, “You’re a person too, you know.  You can be a part of this, too.  Even as the Hulk you’re still just like us.”  And that sort of thing is important.

There’s an episode of “Ultimate Spiderman” that does this, too.  Like, if I remember right, the Hulk is fighting someone, but they just assume he’s there causing trouble, and Spiderman is like, “No stop trying to hurt him he’s helping!”  But people look and assume that he’s there to cause trouble.  Stop judging by appearance, because deep down the Hulk is a good guy with a good heart.  I mean look at that cute little giggle smile in the last gif like, how is THAT destructive?
