Did you make the belle dress yourself? The front panel was such a great idea!

That goes to my partner, she makes everything I wear.  Sometimes I help with painting, but I can’t sew at all (I tried, I jammed the machine, she laughed at me).  I’m more of the painter/woodburner in the relationship.

The costume is based off of a figure by Jim Shore, where the princesses have gorgeous patterned dressed with a picture in the front.  We went out and found patterned yellow fabric (and patterned fabric for her to do the prince) and she did the front panel BY HAND!  It’s hand painted and everything.

Like a month ago I discovered that there’s a Tiana version!!!  We’re currently working on armored Tiana together, and then we’ll look at the Tiana version.  She’ll curse, I’ll beg, then probably tackle it.  I’ve made my cosplay page and shared progress pictures and stuff lately because she’s slowly getting into commissions, and I figured, I’m her number one costume wearer and it’s great that she doesn’t shy away from plus sized, so I need to show off what she can do  :)
