1.  My first anime.

Vampire Hunter D.  I remember being 10 and this kid came into school like, “I saw this cartoon on TV that wasn’t a cartoon,” and we all kinda looked confused, but he told us what channel it was on so I checked it out.  Man, oh man, changed my life forever because now I’m hooked on it.  Back then we called it Jap-animation or Japan-nimation, not anime, lol god the 90s were special.

My first ever series was Dragon ball.  They only showed 6 episodes.  I didn’t know until way later that there’s like 100+ episodes, the Red Ribbon Army, a tournament, all that stuff.  Not until DBZ and the androids and they were like, “Goku remember the Red Ribbon Army,” and they showed flashbacks and I was like, “WTF IS THIS?!”  ^^;;;

15.  An anime that never gets old no matter how many times I watch it.

I have such a terrible answer for this.  It’s the Fatal Fury movie.  I have no idea why I love this movie so effing much.  I think it’s because me and my wifey kinda bonded over it and would make fun of it.  "Farewell, Terry BOGARD!“  And "Oooooh what a babe, but you’re not as cute as Andy!”  And that song at the end.  "OooooooooOOOOOH aaaaaaangel~“  And how the Sci-Fi (yes not SyFy back then) had to edit out Mai’s outfit like crazy, so her ass was fuzzed out a lot.  Actually, Andy and Mai were like my 90s OTP before I knew what an OTP was, I was so happy when they got together  :)

I recently got the dvd offline (found it for cheap which was great because normally it was spendy as shit) and rewatched it.  Brought back a bunch of memories and I ended up really liking it still  *__*

25.  If any of my family and friends watch anime.

Friends hell yeah, definitely.  Family… I don’t think anyone watches it as much as me, at least in my generation.  They do a little?  I think?  I’m the weird one in the bunch I have no idea, but they have kids now and sometimes i hear how "oh my kid watches that too.”  Whatever I’m an adult I need my titans.

HOWEVER!

I have a super cool story.

So my brother passed away when I was 13.  He has two sons, one of which we still see and the other… I have no idea where he is.  But anyhow, the son we see?  So 7 years after my brother passed away we finally got a hold of his mom or whatever (I don’t know the whole story behind why this took so long) and my aunt brought him to my mom’s house for Thanksgiving one year.  I was in college and hopped a bus to meet them.  So we were seeing him for the first time in 7 years and we all cried our eyes out, because he looks just like my brother.

There was this feeling, you know, of what do you say to a kid you haven’t seen in 7 years.  And 7 years ago he was only 6 years old.  So it was kinda awkward for a bit.

Then he saw my PS2 (because I’d always bring it with me to my mom or dad’s place because they had no games and I’d get bored).

He’s like, “OMG WHOSE PS2 IS THAT?!”

I was like, “Mine.”

And he looked so, so happy, like, “Auntie you play video games?”

And I smiled and was like, “YEAH!”

So then we begged my mom to take us to the video store and we literally bonded of DBZ because one of the games was out, so we talked about the anime and played the game the entire time he was there. My mom, aunt, and grandmother were shocked but we were like, “Whateva Vegeta 4 life!”
