- or ‘you’re not like other [identity group optional] girls’
I. Hate. The. Last. One. So. Much. This has been said way, way too many times. "You’re not like the other black girls,“ why? Because I’m a geek? Newsflash, geekery is NOT limited to a particular race. Neither is "being ghetto” or whatever other things you assume are associated with me because of my race For the last, last time, ghetto is NOT something that’s only reserved for black people. The ghetto is a location that can exist in any community, not a way to label a race.
Also if I hear “you don’t look gay” one more time…
