you know, i'm attending a lecture where we talk about the myth of superheroes and why comic heroes have the potential not only to fascinate children but also to still interest adults. as my uni is a traditional art academy, we're focussing on artists and how they used comics as inspiration or even made it part of their paintings - and there's much more than warhol and lichtenstein. (for example Sigmar Polke's "Supermarkets") ... feels like we're quite a crowd with comic hero identification, hu?
