5.  Hardest cosplay?

I think I’d have to say Tiana.  There are actually a lot of pieces to it, so getting into the dress takes a bit of effort.  Then getting into the car is an extra challenge, lol.  If I remember right it’s the petticoat, two skirts, and then the top piece which is like a corset.  I’m serious, I don’t even need a bra with it.

The first time I wore it the wifey had to fix the zipper so that it would zip easier, and somehow a pin got sewn into it too, so it kept poking me until she could fix it  ^^;;;

23.  What is your favorite prop?

The frying pan for Peach, because I love Smash Brothers Peach for the simple fact that she fights and kicks ass.  I also enjoy the frog for Tiana, but that frying pan is awesome.

27.  Who do you consider to be cosplay mascots/exports?

There are a lot, and I mean, a LOT of cosplayers I love for a variety of reasons.  I don’t really have one where I’m like, “Oh god I wanna be just like you!”  I really just want to be like me  :)  Though lately there’s some cosplayers who notice me and I’m like, “… what?”  Because they have so many fans and are so amazing, and the fact that they took a second to even share the article and my page just makes me stare.  I think when I wrote that article, I got about 500 likes in a month or two?  When I made my page I figured, “Eh my friends will like it at least,” but now… wow.

I feel like that with everyone who messages me or shares my page or shows me love, not just the folks with tens of thousands of likes.  Sure I’m flattered beyond belief when a page I’ve been following for a while suddenly posts about me, but I’m just as flattered when some newcomer is like, “You’re amazing.”  I can say, however, that one thing that’s been happening that blows my mind is getting messages from conventions. Someone from Anime Milwaukee and Daishocon emailed me, and I’m not sure how that will all pan out, but the fact that convention staffers are looking at me like, “Wow I hope she comes to our con,” is just bananas!  Or when a guest takes notice, you know?  J. Michael Tatum spazzed about my cosplay.  Little Kuriboh said I was a beautiful Tiana.  Greg Ayres remembers me every time I see him at a con.  That’s insane to me!

Going into this, I never once thought, “Hey I’m gonna be a black plus sized lesbian cosplay model,” I just wanted to have fun.  Now?  Bring it on!
