The Inner Workings of a Chibi.

*shyly posts picture of her cosplay*  My partner and I did Beauty and the Beast this past weekend at Anime Iowa.  The outfits are based on the Jim Shore design, which I think is gorgeous, so I hope the dress looks o.k. on me  >.<   My partner did both of the costumes, even the handpainted picture on the dress  :)  She does all of our costumes because I can’t sew at all!  Give me a woodburner over a sewing machine any day  ^^;;;

Back from Anime Iowa

Had an amazing time.  Thank you so much to everyone who stopped by our table (http://www.etsy.com/shop/snowtigra?ref=si_shop), it was great seeing everyone :) We’ll be updating the shop in the next couple of days with things that didn’t sell, so stay tuned for that!  Also, I’ll be posting things on here, like our costumes and new stuff I made while at the con hotel.

Again, thanks everyone from a great Anime Iowa, hope to see you next year or at other cons in the future!

The adventures of Anime Iowa

Meeting an Adachi cosplayer is one thing.

Meeting an Adachi cosplayer with caution tape is another.

Meeting an Adachi cosplayer who stays in character is yet another one of those things.

But meeting an Adachi cosplay who hangs at your table, asking people if they want to talk about murders, and who later buys an adorable mouse hoodie with ears and a tail, wears it, walks back over to your table and says, “Bitch, I’m Ka-why-ee as hell,” with a smug look?  Now THAT’S priceless.

Completely forgot

If you swing by the table, be sure to tell me that you’re on tumblr so I can be all like, “H-hi,” and, “Oh!”  I get kinda blushy in real life about things  ^^;;;  I managed to finish even more things yesterday, from ponies, to Persona 3 (yeah that’s right, 3, I still remember it exists in my 4 craze), to Kingdom Hearts, just… everything!  (well not EVERYTHING that would be impossible).

Time to finish up packing then we’re taking off.  Artist Alley opens up for sponsers at like, 3:30, and everyone else at 4 tomorrow, so see you then if you’re going!  If not, just expect a lot of pictures on my tumblr, including a (hopefully) signed copy of my Persona 4 from Souji/Yu/Adachi since he’ll be at the con!

Dear followers

Going to bed early and then taking off to Anime Iowa.  We’ll be hitting the road tomorrow and getting there sometime in the afternoon.  If you’re going to this con, please feel free to swing by our table “Sewn Together Reflections.”  If you’re looking for me, I’ll be cosplaying Tiana from Princess and the Frog, and also cosplay Belle from Beauty and the Beast  :)

Expect to see lots of ponies, persona, Kuroshitsuji, Fate/Zero, mini plushies, coasters, buttons, wineglasses, Puus, Naoto hats… just, lots of THINGS at our booth  ^^  I’ll have pictures, of course, because I think this is the most I’ve ever made for a con.

Will you be at AI this weekend?

How to get ready for a con

Step one: PANIC!

Step two:  SPAZ BECAUSE OMG CON!

Step three: Ponder if you’ve made enough items, realize you didn’t, and realize that you still have unfinished things so…

Step four:  PANIC SOME MORE!

Step five:  Decide to work on things then notice that your 3DS is lonely so…

Step six:  Play some Theatrhythm, get ass kicked by Final Fantasy 7 battle music on Ultimate, curse, and…

Step seven:  Try again.

Step eight:  Try harder.

Step nine:  Pause to eat dinner with partner.

Step ten:  Notice unfinished clocks and…

Step eleven:  PANIC!

Step twelve:  … oh yeah, pack and stuff and…

Step thirteen:  PANIC!!!

Step fourteen:  Have fun?

I always have to make something Utena for our table when we go to conventions, because it’s just that awesome and needs as much love as possible. Hopefully, I get the mirror done in time, for now, enjoy a heart-shaped coaster :)

The fanciest L that ever did L.  I found these coasters at the craft store and wanted to see if I could make L even fancier than it already is.  This is what I came up with.  Woodburning fancy designs are difficult with the curves and my extreme pickiness fun  ^^;;;

Like all the other coasters I’ve been posting, these will be at Anime Iowa this year for sale, yay!  Just a few more weeks not enough time not enough time NOT ENOUGH TIME!!!  I can’t wait  :)

2 Black Butler coasters made for Anime Iowa, which is coming up at the end of the month here.  I’ve never made anything Alois, whereas I ALWAYS make something Grell because… it’s Grell, and who wouldn’t want to make something Grell.  I also feel the need to paint Grell’s hair and glasses, because, paint everything red  :)  Also, Grell’s is a heart-shaped coaster because… yeah, Grell  ^^

These will be at our table at this years Anime Iowa, so if you’re going to that convention come check us out!  If not, then you can always check out our shop here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/snowtigra?ref=si_shop or here http://www.facebook.com/pages/SewnTogetherReflections/135314263255585

Suddenly, I have 50 followers.  No way, guys!  That’s awesome!  I never thought I’d have more than like, 10, or something as I post my crafty things and such, so thank you!  Here’s a big post of things I’ve finished for Anime Iowa.  Well… the Mario mirror is almost done, I have to finish his other hand  ^^;;;

So we have a mix of things: Persona 4, Zelda, Mario, and even Teen Titans.  All of these were done by me and you’ve probably seen the coaster sketches I posted.  This is what the final product looks like (the coasters and mirror will have protective coating on them to make sure they can’t be damaged and stuff)  The top picture is what my house starts to look like as I make things, the coasters are sitting on top of my box of controllers, lol, otherwise they’ll overtake the kitchen table and counter (it’ll get to that point soon though, I know it will).

Be sure to check out the shop here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/snowtigra?ref=si_shop and the facebook page here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/SewnTogetherReflections/135314263255585  and if you’re going to Anime Iowa this year, be sure to stop by our table!
