Oh look, I did a thing.
My face is TOTALLY the wrong shape for this cosplay and I don’t care at all because I’m going to have a fucking amazing time at Sakuracon.
:D
You look wonderful as her. Have a great time!
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees!!!

Personal challenge for myself today: take an everyday event and make it sound magical.
She’s laying back on the couch, laptop in her lap with a fresh cup of cocoa at her side. It’s been a relatively calm day, the kitten sprawled out on the futon mattress, sleeping soundly and dreaming the way kittens do. She’s been listening to music as she writes, trying to create a whole new world that she hopes, someday, other people can become lost in. The characters are there, they just need to travel from behind her closed eyelids to the blank screen in front of her.
The music changes to a familiar melody, an animated movie she has seen once upon a dream. She remembers the black and white world, the man made of paper and the lady he pursues. "It’s Paperman,“ she whispers, "It’s playing the Paperman music.”
That’s when the magic happens.
She hasn’t looked outside in a while, too focused on her fictional characters and the world she’s trying to put them in. The music gets to a particularly memorable part of the movie. The papers are resting quietly in the alley, unmoving, then something wondrous brings them to life. One is woken from its slumber, followed by another, each flowing in the wind to the beat of the music. The writer smiles as she remembers this part and takes a moment to glance out the window.
It’s snowing.
It’s not the harsh snow that’s seemed to plague her home as of late, not the fast and overpowering kind that makes it hard to see. It’s the soft, gentle snow that’s falling from the sky, dusting the sidewalks and streets like powered sugar.
She smiles and imagines that it’s paper, one of the soft flakes kissed by her red lips.
Inspired by the Paperman soundtrack playing while I was listening to music, then me noticing that it had started to snow :)
In case you’ve missed the news, Paperman is awesome. It’s been posted online just in time for the Oscars, so if you didn’t get to see Wreck-it-Ralph and catch this amazing short, now you can!
After watching it again (saw it before Wreck-it-Ralph last year) all sorts of feelings re-emerged, and this headcanon was born :)
Warnings: Sap, no dialogue (trying to do it in the style of Paperman, which has no dialogue, and doesn’t need it whatsoever), completely implausible
Hey guys! Watch the full Paperman short online!!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
I WAS LITERALLY JUST WONDERING IF IT WAS ANYWHERE ON THE INTERNET ON THE WAY HOME FROM CLASS????
Everyone watch this, it is PERFECT. Someone please cosplay the guy with me I will give you my firstborn child and a great big kiss please please
If you haven’t seen this yet, stop what you’re doing and watch. Now. Seriously.
Well, I haven’t been online much lately ‘cause of midterms and stuff, but I noticed this and just had to post it.
What is that on that bulletin board behind ya, Ralph?
HOLY-
NEW HEADCANON: Since this is the bad guy meeting and that’s on the bulletin board, Paperman is considered a “bad guy,” since he essentially skipped work, which is a bad thing to do. But he did it for good reasons.
“I’m bad, which is good.”
SO GOOD JUST ARGH I CANNOT SPEAK WORDS! EVERYTHING ABOUT IT WAS AMAZING, O.K.?! And the “Paperman” short before it? AH! SO BEAUTIFUL!!!
There’s just so many gaming nods in the movie, o.k.?!
NOT just the cameos you’ve seen in the previews, but to gaming as a whole.
From like, my childhood when I first started gaming, to now. Back when gaming was this new thing in my life, to present time when it’s just progressed so much.
And the movie itself, like the story itself?
SO MANY FEELS O.K.?!
Just everything, EVERYTHING IS WONDERFUL!
And props to gaming girls in the movie, and just, them being there period.
Going to try and write a more coherent review, but for now: S-U-G-A-R jump into your racing car SUGAR RUSH! SUGAR RUSH!
