Once again requested by tumblr user shadow-naoto. Is Naoto a closet gamer? You bet she is! Although this one has a bit of an unconventional Persona 4 pairing. I hope that’s o.k.? *hides*
One thing I always felt like in P4 is that I didn’t mind Souji romancing Naoto, even if I preferred Kanji and Naoto hands down (and wished, oh so wished that I could use my Souji skills to give Kanji the courage to romance her), but I always felt that if Souji was, indeed, going to romance the detective… Kanji should have some sort of reaction. I mean, come on, everyone KNEW about the crush, right?
Today (oops, yesterday, it’s after midnight) is/was “National Coming Out Day.” I already posted some long emotional blar blar on my facebook, so I decided to do something a bit more fun on tumblr.

Yosuke Hanamura discovers that today is “National Coming Out Day” thanks to the powers of the internet. Being the awesome friend that he is, he tells Kanji Tatsumi about this day, because if anyone needs to “come out” it’s him. Not that Yosuke has a problem with it, the two have been through too much for a little thing like sexual preferences to get to him anymore.
Besides, he had mostly been joking.
And double besides… there’s a certain someone he…
… but this isn’t about him, o.k.?! This is about Kanji and coming out!
So he tells Kanji about “coming out,” how it’s when you stop hiding and… yeah, just come out already, Kanji, he says.
Kanji mentions that, um, duh, he had already done that before. Shadow? Bathhouse? All that flamboyant jazz? He’s been there, done that, and has made plenty of plushies for his mother’s shop to show for it.
But this is different, Yosuke says, that was inside the T.V.
So Kanji takes a deep breath and does it.
He comes out.
… and… tells Naoto Shirogane that he has a crush on her.
He tells her how it’s “National Coming Out Day… or whatever the hell.” It’s a day to stop hiding, and thus, he stops hiding, and nervously waits for some sort of reaction.
The logical part of Naoto wants to explain to Kanji what the day really means. However, the way he shifts from one foot to the other is a bit endearing. She supposes that, deep down, Kanji sort of has the meaning of the day correct. He isn’t hiding his feelings – though, if she thinks about it, had he really been hiding them? The blushing, the stuttering, it was all out in the open.
So perhaps… she is the one who needs to come out.
So she smiles and comes out with him.
Yosuke sighs, once again marveling over how Kanji can be so dense sometimes. But hey, Naoto is kinda a boy, right? So Yosuke considers the day to be a success.
These are getting kind of long now, putting it behind a cut :) Souji and Yosuke feelings, ahoy!
why do people try to play off yosuke having nickelback and linkin park CDs in his room by saying that they’re from when he was younger, or that they belong to teddie
yosuke listening to stereotypical teenage wannabe music is actually the best thing ever and it reALLY SUITS HIS CHARACTER!! he’d lay on his bed and play ‘photograph’ on a rainy day and look out the window and think of souji and pretend he was in a sad music video
that is totally something yosuke would do
And Teddie would call his sensei like, “Sensei, I think Yosuke needs medicine. He keeps looking outside, touching the window, whispering let’s rewrite an ending that fits and wincing like he’s in pain… please bring that thick, pink medicine over, it looks beary series.”
(I think that line is in that “Someday Somehow” song, not “Photograph” but you get it)

Or why, after thinking about it, Yosuke Hanamura probably should’ve had a more intense shadow. Not only does he work at a place where everyone hates him, but it’s RETAIL.

Here I tried to pair them with their persona. Sure, I have more, but I’ll post those tomorrow night ^_^ Making the persona was really complicated, especially Rise’s, but totally worth it for how they came out!
These are the plushies my lovely partner makes :) I might be able to do woodburnings and glass painting, but sewing? And small plushies? Noooooo thank you. That’s all her :) She’s even made mini-persona, too!
