Just wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone who came by the table this weekend and supported my new book series “magnifiqueNOIR” this weekend. I’m happy to say that I came home with only three preview books left, and have to order more in time for A-Kon next weekend :)

Had a great time at ACEN but the best part was definitely having my mom and nephew there. My mom is always cheering me on in this whole venture but she’s never seen me at work in person. To have her and my nephew sitting there and saying they’re proud of me just made my whole con.
Sometimes, I wonder if I can make this crazy venture work: writing books, doing crafts, promoting our cosplay and ourselves, I wonder how in the hell am I going to do this. But having them there smiling and cheering me on reminded me that I can absolutely do this.
So, with that said, thanks for a great ACEN and see you at Momocon!!!

Quick update because I haven’t updated in a while so here we go!
1. We’ll be at Anime Central this weekend in artist alley with our crafts, our books, and cosplay stuffs. I’ll post a map before the con :)
2. Two weeks after that we’ll be at Momocon in artist alley with our crafts, our books, and cosplay stuffs. I’ll have a map posted closer to the con.
3. The very next week we’ll be at Colossalcon in artist alley with our crafts, our books, and cosplay stuffs. I’ll have a map posted closer to the con. Also, on Saturday of Colossal, our plus size geeky dresses will be in the Colossalcon Artist Alley Fashion Show and we’ll be premiering some new dresses designed by me and the wifey, and made by the wifey. I’ll be walking in the show in Wonder Woman and we have some amazing models walking in our stuff like Mario and Sonic themed dresses and such <3 <3 <3
So yeeeeeeeah this is why I haven’t updated in a while. LIFE IS HECTIC AND GEEKY!

So Anime Central was officially “pick on Neo Queen Serenity Day” on Saturday, particularly by Disney villains. First there was Xanatos and Demona from Gargoyles, then Ursula tried to take my voice. What the heck?!
Anime Central in Chicago last weekend was so much fun that we actually forgot to take pictures of everyone who bought our books! We managed to snap a couple and even got one of the new table setup.
Thanks to everyone who stopped by and for all the support! We are happy to report that we came home with only a suit case full of books - when we arrived with three boxes!!
Now time to take a breather, then we’ll be at WisCon this weekend! We won’t have a table, but you can still find us there doing writer research things!

My absolute favorite pics from Anime Central this year!
So if you’ve been on my page for a while you know that I lost my older brother when I was 13. You also know that I do have a nephew. What I realized during Anime Central was that I actually haven’t seen him since back in college, so around 8, maybe even 10 years ago. So when he showed up at ACEN I was thrilled to see him
I pretty much took him around the artist alley and introduced him to all of my friends like a loser, lol. He got to see what it is that I do and he, most importantly, finally got to meet my wifey and gave her a big hug.
So was Anime Central the best con I’ve been to this year? Yeeeeah, probably, because I got to see my nephew again Though I probably embarrassed him by being all, “OMG THIS IS MY NEPHEW YOU GUYS HE’S HERE!!!” ^^;;;
