Anime detour was a blast this year! Had a bit of a scare with a latex issue, but I thankfully didn’t have to use my epipen, and I’m not covered in hives, so everything is good. A little sad that my red wig didn’t get here in time for me to do my Lonnie cosplay (from the game Gone Home), but was still really happy with how my Kamina and Ash turned out! Although I am going to have to make a new top piece for the Kamina cosplay. Looking at the pictures, It seems that Roxy and Lexi grew a bit over the year and are now squishing out the top -_-
Got to meet one of the authors for the “Sleep of Reason” anthology and, I will admit, kind of shamelessly geeked out about indie comics at her. However, I got to learn about SpringCon from her, and I have already marked it on my calendar :D
Also had a wonderful time at some really amazing panels discussing diversity in nerd culture, and it was absolutely wonderful! Can’t wait to go back again next year and have more thoughtful discussion!
Hey it’s my Neo Queen Serenity! And this Ash was really great <3
My cosplay line up for this weekend :) Also, a few awesome notes:
1. This weekend at Anime Detour I will be helping with the panel, “Cosplay is for Every Body.” The panel will be Sunday at Noon
2. Shuto Con in Lansing, Michigan, is also having a plus sized panel this weekend. I will actually be a part of it courtesy of Pozer Ninja, who interviewed me for the panel. The panel will be at noon on Saturday, so if you’re going to be at that con, definitely check it out!
Happy convention going weekend!
