So remember the Persona tarot cards I made? Someone asked if I could possible color the cards. I wanted to give it a shot and this is what it looks like colored. The actual Fool and dog is woodburned, while the background is painted to look like the background on the card. So I guess painting it does work ^^ I’m only going to have this one done for now and bring it to Geek.Kon, and I’ll probably end up charging more because it took more work to get it done, but this will be a test run to see if this is something I can offer :)
The first picture is the sketch done on the wood before burning. The second is the burning of the Fool and the dog. Then the final picture is the background painted.
Ahahaha this is my living room right now. Attack on Titan wooden shields waiting to be woodburned, and in the far off distance you can see the untouched gaming things that I haven’t had time for (minus the PS3, it’s in the shelf below and being used for Netflix and Hulu while I craft).

Our biggest goal at the moment is to get our fan-works community project, MUSEbasement, up and running again. We take in artists who want to learn how to make comics, and through a series of workshops on sequential art we then release a doujinshi.
We have already done one for Gravitation and another for Weiss Kreuz. (Simon and I independently made the Persona 4 Kannao one.) Our next community project is for Samurai Champloo, :3

We’re going to be at two conventions this month, Geek.Kon and Metacon, which means that its time to get some stuff made for the table. This time, I thought I’d post some before and after pics. Oh lord I finished all of this in one day. CONvergence is this weekend, and I made some new things to put in the art show. I figured, I should give it a shot, and hopefully people like it enough to bid on it :)
The first picture is of a large woodburning/painting of the tardis. The tardis itself is woodburned, and the words on the sign are actually legible! Everything else is painted to look like it’s flying through space.
The second picture is of a 10 piece coaster set for Game of Thrones of all of the house symbols.
