The Inner Workings of a Chibi.

Urm… so I have 32 followers, didn’t expect that at all, thanks everyone!  Here, have some Joker stuffs because… uh… Joker!

As always, here’s the shop: http://www.etsy.com/shop/snowtigra?ref=si_shop  I’d love to make more Joker things since they always end up looking so diabolical :)  Glasses are dishwasher safe.

Best accident ever.  True story.  I got a commission for Princess Mononoke wineglasses of the tree spirits and I had them painted on the glasses themselves… then they got broken (the box fell, something, I don’t even remember).  The only thing that survived was the base of the glass.  At the time, these were much rounder wineglasses and the store I got them from didn’t have them anymore.

They had this style instead.

I immediately fell in love with this style and thought, “What if I painted the tree at the bottom of the glass and made the stem brown?”  I sent the person who ordered them a picture and she loved them.

So yeah, best accident ever.

As always, here’s a link to the shop: http://www.etsy.com/shop/snowtigra?ref=si_shop check it out for all of your random dishware coaster clock geeky needs  :)

Just one this morning, of THAT logo woodburned onto a coaster. I swear, this logo… it’s going to be the death of me but I can’t seem to NOT make things without it on there because I’m so obsessed. One day, I’ll probably make an elaborate wineglass...

Just one this morning, of THAT logo woodburned onto a coaster.  I swear, this logo… it’s going to be the death of me but I can’t seem to NOT make things without it on there because I’m so obsessed.  One day, I’ll probably make an elaborate wineglass then, as I’m painting, curse myself for even trying it  >.<

Anyhow, I wanted to do it in white, because woodburning doesn’t show up too well on black.  And the “Shin Megami Tensei” part is burned around the edge, too.

As always, coasters are always safe to use.  Check out the shop here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/snowtigra?ref=si_shop

This week I need to get back to working on things before going to L.A. for E3, so expect more pictures soon!  (I hope)

Two more Black Butler coasters, this time it’s the Undertaker’s turn.  I love him so much actually I pretty much love everyone in Black Butler o.k.?! and I wanted to do something with his normal form and then that, ahem, other form of his that’s really awesome with the kick ass scythe.  But then he had that whole thing with his face at the end of the record, and I just couldn’t help myself  ^^

So the first coaster is normal Undertaker, the second is… well, if you read the manga you know where it’s from  :)  As always, coasters are woodburned and safe to use.  You can always check out the site here for commissions and other items that are available now: http://www.etsy.com/shop/snowtigra?ref=si_shop

Three Grell coasters I’ve made.  The first two are part of the “Born This Way” series I have going, which can be seen here:  https://www.etsy.com/listing/99962739/born-this-way-custom-coaster-you-pick  and the last one is actually the very first Grell coaster I made, before I discovered the wonders of red paint.  I mean… why wouldn't I want to splash something Grell related in red  :)

Everything I make can be commissioned, you can send me a note here or check out the store linked above.  The coasters have a protective coating on them to make them safe to use.

Shadow coasters!  Shadow Kanji and Shadow Naoto are, by far, my two favorite shadows in Persona 4.  Not just because of my feelings for the two characters, but because of how interesting I thought both of them were.

Shadow Kanji’s coaster actually says, “Born this Way, so GET BENT,” because it’s part of my “Born This Way” set seen here:  https://www.etsy.com/listing/99962739/born-this-way-custom-coaster-you-pick on top of the whole “thug with a soft spot” the whole sexuality thing was thrown in there, too, which just added an entirely different, and interesting, dynamic.  I thought it was really powerful when his shadow was like, “I just want to be accepted."

With Shadow Naoto, I really, really like how the anime did that whole scene.  That shadow seemed to get really uncomfortably close and pretty much drove Naoto to break down, which I loved, because that’s what the shadows are supposed to do, right?  Force you to face something you don’t want to admit to.  Not to mention that she had to face her shadow alone (everyone else was outside the door, watching from T.V. screens, which added to the, "I don’t want to be alone,” vibe)

And thus, coasters  :)

And now back to our regularly scheduled crafting. Persona 4 fandom, let’s go back to love and happiness! Give me your hearts! I’m beary serious!
All right, bear puns aside, this is another coaster I recently made :) Inspired by, well, beauty pageant...

And now back to our regularly scheduled crafting.  Persona 4 fandom, let’s go back to love and happiness!  Give me your hearts!  I’m beary serious!

All right, bear puns aside, this is another coaster I recently made  :)  Inspired by, well, beauty pageant Teddie and one of the win poses from Persona 4 arena, this coaster was born.  As always, all coasters have a protective coating on them to make them completely usable  :)

More soon to be woodburned sketches.  What to do with rectangle blocks of wood?  Well, THIS, obviously (at least if you’re a crazy Persona fan)  ^^  The first one is of Yukiko in those glasses, you know, THOSE glasses  :)  The second and third are Kanji and Naoto.  I think, next, I want to do Adachi with caution tape.

Making progress on the next wineglass.  I still have to paint the base in the design as this one that I did for the first wineglass, “The Fool.” (http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m3jx50xQ7y1rt1zjto1_500.jpg)

This one is actually taking longer than planned, at first glance I thought the design wasn’t too complicated, but as I started painting it I realized that wasn’t the case.  Glass paint is pretty thick, so I ended up doing the eyes like… twice, because I didn’t like how they looked the first time.  But I think I got it now  :)

Which one should I try next, I wonder?  I was going to try “The Hanged Man” I think.  I really wish I could do the whole Investigation Team, but looking at “The Chariot” is a bit terrifying.

This glass will be available for purchase when it’s done at our shop with “The Fool” (http://www.etsy.com/shop/snowtigra?ref=si_shop) and just like the other glasses, it’s completely usable and washable.

Oh, by the way, ignore the geekery behind the glass (TV, Xbox, wii, there’s a PS3 somewhere, and the display case of Disney things  ^^;;;)

What am I doing?!  Now I’m pairing personas together along with their masters?  Well, if this is the road we’re going down, let’s just do it!

I thought it might be cool (maybe?) to show progress pictures of the things I make, sort of a before and after.  Starting with two new coasters of my OTP, Kanji and Naoto!  Before I burn something, I sketch it on the wood first, then burn over the lines (and sometimes paint parts, too, still deciding on that for these two).

In the first heart-shaped coaster is Kanji and Naoto kissing.  I don’t really draw kissing (in fact, this might be my first time) so I thought I’d give it a shot.  The second is of their personas, Take-Mikazuchi and Sukuna Hikona, with Sukuna Hikona kissing Take-Makazuchi on his cheek (possibly might make the awesome, big persona blush).

Lately I’ve been doing a LOT of Persona 4 things.  I’m trying NOT to, because I need to make a variety of things for our table at Anime Iowa (and our Etsy shop in general) but I can’t help myself!  I’ll post more things tomorrow, probably, including the Magician glass progress  ^^
