Party pictures (well… of the food at least).  Tried to keep it Japanese themed because of Persona, so we had teriyaki spare ribs, curry, and rice krispie sushi  ^^  Also, here’s more pictures of the red velvet Teddie cake with the Kanji and Naoto cake topper I ordered  :)  The cake was beary, beary good!  Oh!  I also posted a picture of the Persona 3 artbook, because one of my friends came to the party and gave me that as my birthday gift.  It went a little something like…

Friend:  So I know you like Persona, but this is all I could find…

Me:  *digs in birthday bag and sees artbook*

Friend:  I hope it’s o.k.-

Me:  *SPAZZES*

Anyhow, it was a wonderful birthday.  There were no cosplayers, unfortunately, but we all ended up playing “Cards Against Humanity” which turned out to be, well, the worst best game ever known to man.  

… you’re trying to be all cool with your friends at your party, then the doorbell rings and your dad is standing there, who you don’t get to see very often because he lives in Chicago and you’re in St. Paul, who you last saw at your grandmother’s funeral, who hasn’t been able to see your first house yet because he had surgery…

… that moment when you’re trying to be all cool and you end up screaming like it’s Publisher’s Clearing House at the door and you cling to your daddy like the 5-year-old little girl that your 29 year old self really is.

I love you, daddy  <3  I can’t wait to spend the weekend with you  :) 

Though seriously why you gotta do that to a girl when she’s in the middle of a party, standing there like, “Yo,” like it’s not a big deal… jerk!

There’s sort of a whirlwind of plans going on.  Going to see a triple feature tonight with my partner at the fancy theater that let’s you drink alcohol and have fancy food things.  Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and then the Dark Knight Rises at midnight.  Expect my feelings to be piled up in the corner tomorrow morning  ^^;;;

Speaking of tomorrow, tomorrow is me and birthday twin’s Persona 4 birthday party (needless to say there will be a beartastic amount of pictures).  Got the Teddie cake ordered and ready to be picked up tomorrow (I’m really excited to see it, because the place we got it from does NOT screen print on the cake, they draw the design themselves with icing).  Got my Kanji and Naoto cake toppers ready.  Got the food planned out.  Got friends bringing ridiculous board games.  Got most of the house clean and cleaning the rest tomorrow morning (like the kitchen and my craft area in the living room).  AND I possibly have two friends coming dressed as Naoto and Kanji  *fingers crossed*

I’ll probably be an ultra dork and play Persona 4 music from my laptop or something, because I just bear-roll like that  ^^;;;

So my birthday is in July and my partner has already planned on having:

1.  Kanji and Naoto custom cake toppers

2.  A Teddie cake made out of cupcakes

3.  A yellow cake with rainbow lines like the Persona 4 logo

4.  Glasses for everyone to wear
