I usually cosplay Tiana, but sometimes, the villain comes out to play. Gonna be Dr. Facilier this weekend at CONvergence and am super excited! I went to find a top hat and ended up picking up an awesome mask.

New cosplay done!!!
So I sketched an idea for a Mario dress and the wifey brought it to life. I’m so excited with how it came out <3
A collection of me, my cosplay, my make up, clothes, just snippets of 2014.
This year has been quite the adventure. I traveled more than I ever have in my life. I met so many amazing people. I got my books and my crafts out there. I spoke up more than I ever have before about a variety of topics. It’s just been amazing.
To be honest, I never, ever expected to have fans, or be asked to be a guest anywhere, or anything like that. I never imagined having people who want to meet me, and who look up to me. All of you are so incredible, and are so important to me. Thank you all so much for supporting me and everything I do. I love you all <3
And, as always, if you take any cosplay message from me, it’s this: to love your cosplay is to love yourself. It’s so important to love yourself. There may be negative people out there, and what they say can, and does, hurt. But don’t let them stop you. Don’t let them keep you down. Don’t let them define who you are. YOU define who you are. You decide who you are. You hold your life in your hands and you have the power to make the very best out of it.

Princess and the Frog was released back in 2009 today! As soon as I saw the movie, I knew that I wanted to cosplay Tiana. I love everything about her and she quickly became one of my favorite Disney princesses <3 I’ve had this cosplay since 2010, but I am still in love with it and bring it to cons any chance I get. I have a feeling that it’ll be in my cosplay wardrobe for a long time :)

1) #leilei #hesienko I put a lot of work into this cosplay and I really hope to get some really nice pictures of it soon. I worked a Aki Matsuri and though I didn’t win anything I’m still very proud of the way it turned out.
2)#fatherfuji I didn’t expect to look so much like an old man when I put this cosplay together. It was so much fun to see everyone’s faces when they saw it.
3) #Scanty I think scanty has been the most fun I’ve had. It was really great to walk around with the pain and the outfit, not to mention she had been a dream cosplay of mine. With Subaru as my sister it made it all the more fun!
4)#chunli I was so terrified to put this cosplay to gather. I’ve seen so many of my mentors do this cosplay and I was kind of scared I wouldn’t live up to it. When I finally finished it it was really exciting all the lovely encouragement I got from it. This cosplay is been the most motivating cosplay for me this year.

So according to Gail Simone it’s Cosplay Appreciation Day! So here are some of my pics from this year. It’s been quite the year and we’ve gone to more cons than ever with our art, our books, and our costumes. It’s also been quite the year in spreading the message that cosplay is for everyone, and it’ll continue on into next year and years to come <3
Special thanks to my wifey (the Belle with the design on the front of the dress and pretty much the girl in every pic with me except for the group shot of Disney characters) for making these costumes and always being a supportive voice. Also thanks to all of the cool people I’ve met at all of these conventions and online through my cosplay page, I hope we all have just as much fun, or even more fun, next year. Reblogging because it’s been about two weeks since I posted this and LOOK AT THE AMOUNT OF NOTES THIS HAS! OMFG! I have never had a post skyrocket so quickly, or have so much love on it. I mean… whut? WHUT?!
Everyone, thank you from the bottom of my big ol’ heart. I’m so glad that people are not only enjoying the cosplay, but spreading the message of loving yourself and loving one another. Let’s all keep having a good time with this and keep being kind to one another along the way.
