The Inner Workings of a Chibi.

Just wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone who came by the table this weekend and supported my new book series “magnifiqueNOIR” this weekend. I’m happy to say that I came home with only three preview books left, and have to order more in time for A-Kon next weekend :)

I’m also happy to announce that if you’re not going to be at a con where I am, you can order the preview book online here!

Thanks so much for the support, and don’t forget: you are magical <3

Because the magical girls need casual looks :)

Top pic is Marianna Jacobs, aka “Galactic Purple.” Her looks include:

1. Her look when she’s baking delicious treats <3
2. Her normal, everyday style
3. Pajama fun time!

Bottom pic is Bree Danvers, aka “Cosmic Green.” Her looks include:

1. Her look when she’s doing Let’s Plays for her YouTube channel, “Cosmickaze Bree.” She would do it completely transformed, but Marianna yells at her when she does. Also notice her love for Game Grumps <3 <3 <3
2. Her normal, everyday style, which still has a geeky touch.
3. Pajama fun time! She would be naked, but Marianna yells about things like “decency” and “other people living here, too.” However, if Marianna comes into her room unannounced when she’s naked then that’s Marianna’s fault ;)

Check out more info and updates on the girls on the magnifiqueNOIR Facebook page :)

So one of the things I plan on doing for my new book series is having little comic pages in the book :) They’ll be little illustrated snippets from select scenes in the book.
Enjoy! And don’t forget, you can follow the progress here

Marianna Jacobs is an 18-year-old college student with dreams of being a baker. She often does things by the book and could be considered as the leader of the group. She’s kindhearted and always wants to do what’s best for everyone. As a plus sized girl, she sometimes has moments of being insecure about her weight, but as she progresses as a magical girl, she’s becoming more confident in herself.

Welcome, everyone, to the world of “magnifiqueNOIR”, a book series that delves into the lives of a group of extraordinary magical girls who defend the lives of the people around them. Along the way, they face new challenges that may undo everything that they’ve become, but even so, they always work to be the best women they can be.

This page is dedicated to their adventures, adventures that I feel many others can identify with (minus a horrific monster or two, lol), and I hope their stories can make people realize something very important:

You. Are. Magical.

Many thanks to my good friends over at MuseTap Studios for creating this amazing print of the ladies.

Preview snippet of a new project I’m working on that I kept forgetting to post about on my Tumblr. THE MISADVENTURES OF BLACK MAGICAL GIRLS!

Also known as “magnifiqueNOIR” thanks to a good friend helping me come up with a name.

So about a month ago I randomly did some woodburnings of some girls because I didn’t want to work on anything else. Overtime, those girls gained personalities, and back stories, and a plot has been brewing that I’ve been actively pursing so I can turn this into a book series of sorts with art, little comics, and things like that. So far I have three books planned that explore these girls, their relationships, and what it means to be magical.

I’ll post more things as they develop, but for now, I hope everyone enjoys what I have so far :)
