Woke up this morning to an interview being posted!  You can check it out at the link!

The other day I sketched a couple chibies of our characters from Seeking the Storyteller.  These are just rough for right now.  In the future, I will be coloring them and we’d like to offer them with the book.  Possibly as things like stickers, buttons, keychains or bookmarks.  We’ll see how they turn out colored!

Check out the chibies I made from our book!

Since our book is out now, we want to take it to conventions and include little bonus items, like maybe keychains and buttons of our characters… adorable chibi style  <3

Good morning everyone, today our publisher has finally revealed their fanclub which can get you access to special items concerning our book and many others.  As part of this, an interview with one of our main characters: Randall Fagan is on the site!

Today I have the pleasure of interviewing Randall Fagan, a certified Hunter!  Mr. Fagan, thank you for meeting with me!

Really, you don’t need to be that formal.  You can just call me Fagan.  I don’t use Randall, you can think of it as a… secret identity thing.

Ahahaha, sorry about that, I’ll just call you Fagan from now on.  Now, can you explain what it is that you do?  What is a Hunter, exactly?

I would say it’s like a police force, but I’m going to get in trouble for that.  So let’s just go with we’re the people who hunt down the monsters and demons that people don’t want to acknowledge exist.

So you’re saying that demons and monsters actually exist?  Come on, you must be joking!

Check out this interview with one of our characters!

Are you saying that demons and monsters actually exist?  Well yes, yes they do.  Character interview from our very own Randall Fagan!

And another great review

brichibiwritesthings:

My first five star review on my new book!  Here it is:

The first thing that struck me about Double Hue is that it is written in present tense, which always makes it difficult for me to really get into a story. However, the writing itself was good and somewhere halfway through the prologue I had been drawn in thoroughly and felt the pain of loss as the story of a young man learning that his lover had been killed began to unfold.

It got even better.

As the story description says, Gable learns that his boyfriend, Avery, has been killed, but every time he dreams, it’s as if time resets and Avery is alive again. Most of the first half of the story occurs inside the mind of this confused young man as he tries to determine reality from dream, while also trying to deal with studies for his final year in university as well as the issue of ‘coming out’ to his parents.

The narrative is artfully done so that the reader lives within the thoughts of Gable, feeling his uncertainty and struggling to determine what is real. I soon lost any sense of what tense the story was written in and was completely caught up in this dilemma.

Everything becomes very real about halfway through and the action increases to a fever pitch. There were times that I wanted to yell at a character “Why don’t you…” or “Check the computer history to find out..”, but these minor frustrations just show how involved I had become as I read. The parents might have played a more active role, but the artistry put into how the primary characters deal with the conflict more than makes up for any lack of activity from peripheral characters.

I read the second half of this book in one sitting, ignoring all the other books I had on the go. It was that engrossing. Easy 4.5 stars for this one.

huntersseries:

Once upon a time, back in college, an 18 year old version of myself started chatting with a woman who went by Snow Tigra.  Eventually, we started dating, and the way we would stay in touch since we were long distance was by roleplaying withdifferent anime and video game characters. After graduation, I moved up to Minnesota, and we began to live together.

About a year after living together, our apartment was broken into. Our laptops were stolen along with some other items, and we had to start our roleplay over. This is when the idea of the “Storyteller” was born.

The Storyteller is a creature that lives in a large library, and each book represents a person’s life. The Storyteller has the power to add things to a person’s story, or take things out, giving him completely control over someone’s life. With this idea in mind, we ended up creating different characters, each with their own motives and connections to one another. But the central question still remained: if you could change any aspect of your life, would you?

In “Seeking the Storyteller,” Alix Andre DeBenit would do anything to change one horrific moment of his life. However, it means that he has to push aside his beliefs and work with the very creatures he’s sworn to kill: demons.

It’s hard to believe that what once started out as a silly little roleplay with the girl I just met is now becoming a book series. The first will be available next week. Join the event and learn all about a world where you can change the past, but at what cost?

THE THING IS HAPPENING THIS IS THE THING I WAS ANXIOUS ABOUT TODAY!
