One of the reasons why I love Cyn so much is because she’s sort of the resident cynical girl who lives in our world, so she knows the different mannerisms of humans that the demons don’t get — moreso than Alix and Fagan, who spend their days hunting. So she’s the character who will get the geeky references to things that no one else will, as seen in the following snippet.
Note: Katalynne hasn’t been properly introduced, just know that she’s Fagan’s awesome secretary who doesn’t get paid enough for what she has to deal with ^^ Oh! And this sort of introduces Mira, briefly? She’ll get a proper introduction, I promise!
Note behind a cut because it’s only a few paragraphs :)

Everyone in the room - aside from Haven - stared at her fox like ears that jutted out from the sides of her head, her hair falling down her back.
Cyn was the first one to react. “Great, so you have cat ears. How is that supposed to tell us anything?”
“I am not a cat!”
“You have cat ears-”
“I’m a fox!” Mira hit the table lightly with her hand to make her point more clear but this only resulted in Cyn smirking in amusement. For a moment it looked like she was going to yell again, but the girl took a deep breath and relaxed in her seat.
“I take it cat demons are different?” Katalynne asked, moving her fingers across the tablet to pull up information.
“Wait, so cat girls are real?” Cyn asked, sounding a bit scared.
“Of course they are,” Mira said, “But they’re kind of annoying.”
“You don’t know the half of it.”
Another really short snippet before I leave work. I hope you guys are actually enjoying these ^^;;; And remember, you can follow the actual Hunters blog for more :)

My lady had some scrap fabric, so she cut a bunch of it up so we could make kitty toys to give to the humane society where we’ve always been getting our cats :) Randomly, is this something people would actually purchase for their pet?
This is Puppet. Puppet the cat. And when she lays down flat on her tummy it amuses the fuck out of me. Her legs just… I dunno, they just… they look so awkward! It’s like, “Hi, we’re legs, but we forgot how to leg.”
I’ve made plenty of Grell things (how could I not?!), particularly this clock. So I wanted to make something different. Somehow, I’ve rarely made Sebastian things, and I had an idea for a clock. Something dark, and epic looking, to show how amazing Sebastian is.
… then my partner said, “OH! You should paint him with a kitty!”
And then this clock was born ^^;;;
There’s only one true love in a butler’s life. The soft paws. The fine fur. A butler needs a kitty! This clock depicts Sebastian’s one and only passion, with kitty paws all over the edge of the clock. The clock is available for purchase :)

I love the drops, and the shadows behind them, and the cats are like, “Ooooooh so this is what water looks like in slow motion? Meow?”

So my wonderful beautiful bestest partner in the whole wide world got me an early Christmas gift: Jiraiya! I went to take a picture, but our new cat Puppet decided to photo bomb it ^^;;;
This inspired three headcanons:
1. Puppet is actually a Persona!
2. Puppet has faced her true self and has accepted the facade of DISCO NINJA FROG!
3. One of Souji’s cats somehow made it over to Yosuke’s house.
… I know I need help so there’s no need to remind me ^^
New, better pictures of our new kitty, Puppet :) The second picture is a black and white one I was futzing around with, keeping her locket red, since Ms. Puppet likes the color red.
Let me introduce you to Puppet.
Yesterday was a bit of a whirlwind day. We had to put Isis down, the very first cat my partner and I had together (she had Isis before I moved up here, so Isis was with us when I first arrived in Minneapolis). Isis had essentially just given up, and my mother believes that she died of a broken heart because Loki was gone.
So, while sitting in the car at the vet, we both decided that there was no way we wanted to go home to an empty house. We thought, “Let’s go to the humane society, see if we can find a cat we like. If not, no big deal, it might mean it’s not time yet. But if we do, then you know, we should bring home a new cat.”
A couple of amazing things happened after that.
When we got home to get directions to the shelter, I got a call from a place I had done a phone interview with. I’ve been out of a job, only for like a week and a half, because I had a temp job. So I had done a phone interview that morning before we had to take Isis in and was told, “We’ll let you know by Monday.” Instead of calling on Monday, they called literally five minutes after we got home from putting Isis down, wanting to schedule an in-person interview.
With the prospect of a new job, we definitely knew we could afford to get a cat.
So my partner and I went to the shelter. We saw some cats, visited with some – three, in fact. They were cute, but we didn’t really warm up to them. We went in the last room, set on picking a cat named Alice that my partner had saw. Before we could go to her, this beautiful cat called Baby rolled over on the bed she was laying on.
We both kinda looked at her, like, “… are you exposing your stomach to us?” We started petting her like, on her side, and her head, and she was a purring mess. I noticed that she was shaved on her tummy, which my partner explained meant that she had been fixed recently, touching the area without thinking. The cat didn’t care, in fact, we both got to pet her tummy and she didn’t care. So we decided to visit with the cat, my partner picking her up. I headed to the door and she started whining, not wanting me to walk away. I actually had to tell her, “I’m just going to the door so we can visit with you.”
Interesting fact: "Baby" is the name of the stuffed animals my partner and I gave each other before we moved in together, when we had started dating in college.
So we visited with the cat and she was playful, and lovable. After a moment we thought of the name “Puppet” for her. So I called out “Puppet” and she walked over, rolled around, purred, and just went nuts. We knew this cat was the cat for us.
Interesting fact: not only does she have a cold (so should be kinda sick and miserable), but she was so friendly we thought she was declawed when she was batting her paws around. She is NOT declawed, she just had them retracted to play with us. She also has a bad liter box history which she has shown NO signs of in our house, she uses the liter box just fine. Also…
… the dream my partner had before, of the third cat in the house that we didn’t have. We have two theories with that. The first being that the cat was her parent’s cat, Raja, who had passed away a year ago, coming to the house to kind of tell the kitties that it was o.k. for them to leave. OR the third cat was Puppet, introducing herself to the cats, and showing them that she would be there to take care of us.
By the way, the third picture is totally her “Assassin’s Creed” pose.
