Went to Ren Fest this last weekend and it was “the Day of Wrong,” which is where you wear something that doesn’t fit in at all. So I decided to do a Ren Fest version of my Progressive Insurance Flo cosplay ^^

Wow I’m a bad wifey I forgot to reblog this. My wifey made this for our friend! I really love when she makes costumes for her :) This lovely lady is transitioning from male to female, and my wifey has been great with making her costumes. I guess, last year, she wanted to commission someone but they told her no because of her being trans >.< Fortunately, my wifey could care less and was like, “I’ll make it for you.” First was Shadow Yukiko from Persona 4 (which I’ve posted before) and now it’s Madoka’s final form from Madoka Magica :)
I think it’s important to cosplay who you want, regardless of gender and everything else, and I think it’s great to have a wifey who believes that too and who will make costumes for whoever :)

Story time!
I was at ACEN this last year walking over to where the Kalafina concert was going to be. I was in my Princess Tiana cosplay. I had just crossed the street and was heading to the building when I heard a woman from her car going, “Hey! Are you Tiana?!”
I was kinda surprised because I was outside and not at the con, and it was this woman in her car waiting for the light to turn green. So I was like, “Y-yeah…”
She got the biggest smile on her face and pulled out her phone and said, “Can I get your picture?!” And she snapped a picture just as the light was turning green, said a quick thank you, and drove off.
It’s really great to cosplay and give people outside of cosplay that kind of moment :)
Got my boots. They’re a little too small, so I’m exchanging them, but you get the idea. Shitty selfie go!
