We’re getting ready for San Japan which means new clocks, and since the second season of Free! is a thing that’s happening soon… lord now I’m making clocks for these boys what is my life?
Now that the car accident buzz is wearing off I’m finally going through our stuff from Anime Milwaukee. Here are the crazy totals from my end of things:
Out of about 140 coasters there are 49 left.
Out of 13 clocks there are 3 left.
ALL Attack on Titan shields (big and small) are gone.
The two medium sized woodburnings I did (Harley and the Magician tarot) are gone.
The Sailor Moon mirror and Black Butler mirror survived so I’m going to save them for the Anime Detour art show. I think they’ll just be art show items until they sell since they’re so big ^^
Overall the convention was a ridiculous success and is actually holding the record as the convention where we sold the most stuff! All at the beginning of the year no less, it’s a good sign when the first con of the year breaks your personal record ^^
I’m making a list of things to remake for Anime Detour by series, but please feel free to let me know what other series I should make stuff for :) WE WILL ALSO HAVE BOOKS AT ANIME DETOUR! The print copy of our book is officially finalized, so we will have it at the con.
Meanwhile, on the convention side of things, we’re waiting to hear back from A-Kon and Geek.Kon so far. We’re going to register for San Japan, Otakon, AWA, and Nan Desu Kan as soon as their tables open. We didn’t make it into Collasalcon or Animenext, which is hopefully just a sign for us to get into A-Kon *fingers crossed*
Also, now that the wifey is officially cleared from the doctor, sewing is back in full effect. Neo Queen Serenity will still be done for Anime Detour! Also, Anime Detour will be having a plus sized cosplay panel that I will be on, where I will talk about the article I wrote and how frying chicken solves all problems ;)
This post is also known as “why do I take on crazy projects the week of a con?” I plan on having a full set of progress pictures when this is completely done, but this is the progress I made today. Started with the blanket mirror, sketched Sailor Moon in dry erase marker so it could be wiped off the glass easily, then handpainted her and added stars :)
All that’s left to do is the symbols on the round parts. The inner and outer scouts (8 circles), Chibi Moon (1 circle), Sailor Starlights (1 circle because they have the same symbol), Tuxedo Mask (1 circle), and Sailor Moon’s locket (1 circle).
This will be in the art show at Daisho this weekend, along with some more nifty things, including a Black Butler mirror and a set of Attack on Titan woodburnings. Gonna finish all the crazy things *__*

7! Now I have 7 burned and finished! I have 5 more sketched out which will make 12, but I plan on attempting to make the ENTIRE ARCANA SET! These are for sale and will be sold individually… unless if someone is crazy enough to order the entire thing (including the extra links, like Marie, and Adachi).
So there’s… 20 altogether, plus 3 more because of Golden? (though isn’t Aigis in the Aeon arcana too, not just Marie?) Whatever the case, there will be 23 coasters. I can’t decide if I want to post them on sale now or when the entire thing is finished, though who knows when it’ll all be finished since I ABSOLUTELY NEED to take breaks in between ^^;;;
More fun Christmas stockings made by my partner. This time, we have lovely Black Butler Christmas stockings. The first is the always fabulous Grell Sutcliff, complete with a tiny chainsaw on the corner of the stocking. The second is one of Prince Soma’s dazzling outfits.

Something I posted on facebook this morning
I was showing a girl at work some pictures of the things I make, like the woodburning and stuff. She said, “Wow that’s really cool. I wish I had a talent.” I let that process in my head for a while and I realized… I wish people wouldn’t say that. Just because I know how to do something doesn’t mean you’re not talented. Everyone’s talented in some way, shape, or form, I just happen to be a creative, artistic person. That doesn’t make anybody less talented than me in any way :) I know it was said as a compliment, it usually is, but next time I think I want to say, “You are talented in your own way, I’m sure of it.”
And that is your randomly sappy/inspirational post of the morning? Ugh that’s what happens when I don’t get much sleep -_-
It occurred to me that I never posted this. I’m not sure why. I haven’t made much Panty and Stocking stuff. Again, I’m not sure why, because it’s fun to make stuff from this series :) Here’s the three coasters I have made, and I’d always love to make more.
