And now… Death Note! I love this series so much and have made so many things from it (this isn’t all of it, just a couple of examples to wet your whistle ^^) I think the mirror was the first thing I’ve ever made, and the coasters are the most recent. As always, I will happily take commissions, and I promise not to write them down in my Death Note (that’s a bad attempt at a joke at 1 in the morning ^^;;;)
Stepping away from anime, manga, and video games comes… DISNEY! I love that silly ol’ bear and his friends. These are the only two Winnie the Pooh related clocks I’ve made, but I’m always willing to make more if anyone could use some Pooh bear in their lives ^^
It’s a me. MAR-I-O. Clock ^^ I have a ton of Mario things I’ve made but I thought I would start with this clock. I tried a lot of new things with this one. The paintings on the shell of the clock. The tiny Mario on the second hand that moves around the clock as it ticks. Painting “MARIO” on the glass of the clock. I would love to do something like painting a level around the clock or a question block with a brick pattern on the shell…
… oh god why did I just say that -_- *holds the muses back*
Revolutionary Girl Utena is one of my favorite anime series of all time. I always try to make something when I’m at a convention. I’m always trying to improve my Utena things, since I feel like they have to be ridiculously fancy ^^
As always, everything is hand made by me and I take commissions on everything. Be sure to check out my tumblr, which has links to my shop, or just ask on here :)
The last item is a combination of scratch boards, painted, scratched, and hot glue ^^ I would love to make something like this again, the shadow girls are awesome and it was fun to come up with it.
Two Black Butler/Kuroshitsuji mirrors. The first one is Sebastian and Ciel from the opening of season two, because I really like the silhouette of them together. I was going to put the logo on it somewhere, but I thought that would be a bit much so I left it as is. Completely done in pencil, the ruler was my best friend/worst enemy >.<
The second is of Grell, but done in a strange style that I had an idea for. Grell’s not colored in, not really, instead the colors are written out (red and black) to color in the picture. The only thing colored is Grell’s eye :)
Both of these mirrors have sold, but you can always commission me for something. The shop page (etsy AND facebook) are on the side of my tumblr, or you can just ask me on here. Enjoy!
Manga style mirrors, Naruto edition. I love the black and white of manga pages, so I decided to sketch out and paint mirrors in the same style. So far I’ve only really done it with Naruto, and I haven’t made a mirror like this in a while, so I definitely need to make more.
As always, feel free to ask questions or send me notes here or on my Etsy, I take commissions and would love to make more items :)
Some of the mirrors have other things painted, like Naruto’s eyes, or young Kakashi, small things like that. The Naruto and Kyubi mirror was a complete accident, I was going to paint the whole thing but left it partway painted before I had to go to work. My partner saw it when I came home and was like, “No, leave it!” It’s not quite manga style, not really, just… well it sort of is, I guess?
Though the clock is pink, you could get it in any color! Haro is one of the most adorable mascots ever and comes in like a bazillion colors. I’m not sure why the pink one spoke out to me, but it did, and I definitely want to make more :)
These are also available to order on our store site along with pretty much everything else I’ve been posting (link on the side of my tumblr) and you can pick the color you want Haro to be ^^
Because Persona 3 needs some love, too :) Made this mirror a while ago, but I definitely need to make more P3 things (as much as I love P4, I also love P3 too, if it weren’t for that one I probably wouldn’t be so hooked to the franchise). I want to remake this mirror and sell it, because I think I’ve gotten better since then ^^;;
This was back when I did glass etching too, which worked with the P3 in the corner of the glass, but when I redo it (eventually) I want to do something fancy, like paint the logo or the Shin Megami Tensei symbol or something.
Big Undertaker woodburning :) I absolutely love the Undertaker, particularly in the manga and more recent chapters. A friend of mine had mentioned doing a big woodburning of him and I foolishly accepted the challenge.
The picture is sketched onto the wood first, then burned. This is when I played with shading the most, I think, since the Undertaker is burned darker and his hair is shaded, ect. ect. The ribbon and flowers are painted, to try and make them stand out more. This is actually available for purchase, though the attention it gets at conventions is pretty nice ^^
Everyday’s great at your Junes! So in my mind, Teddie is totally the mascot for Junes by the end of the game, which means… Teddie merchandise for Junes! I’ve been playing with glass work for a while, the etching stuff never really came out the way I wanted to, but then I discovered glass paint and well… ta da :)
The glasses I make are completely usable. They can be washed, are dishwasher safe, the works! This is a shot glass, and you know the face you want to see at the bottom of your drink is Ted’s, right? LOL!
Oh! The bottom isn’t painted on the inside, but the outside, so when you look down at it you see the character’s face :)
