First time I attempted to add ears to a clock ^^ The ears are made out of sculpty I believe, this clock was made a while ago so I may be wrong. Then the inside AND outside are painted like everyone’s favorite bear :) Urm… insert some witty bear pun here, not awake enough to function right now, lol.
It actually can hang off the wall, too, I tested it because I was paranoid that the ears might be too heavy, but it worked out great!
Kind of nervous about posting this, not sure why…
It’s no secret that Kanji and Naoto are my OTP. In fact, they might be my favorite OTP of all time. I could go on and on about why I love them so much, but I’ll spare everyone. As always, this is hand drawn/painted by me ^^
The words on the mirror say, “Love is Tender and Knows no Gender,” because I think these two fit that message perfectly. This is because there seems to be this debate on whether or not Kanji is gay, Naoto is transgender, ect. ect. To me, it doesn’t matter either way, because these two are such great characters with some powerful things to deal with, and they are great together (particularly in the anime where it goes beyond Kanji’s crush, they also fight together and work well with one another). I don’t want to spend time debating whether or not someone is gay, straight, transgender, whatever. What I want is to celebrate the fact that these two would be a great couple. It works no matter how you look at it. If he’s gay? She’s most comfortable posing as a boy. If he’s straight? She’s adorable as a girl. If he’s straight and just understands that she’s more comfortable as a boy? Awesome. If she feels comfortable as a woman by the end of the game? Sure. If she still wants to be the boy detective? Sure, that works too. If she actually wants a procedure to be turned into a male? Sure, why not. Anything and everything works, what matters is that these two can love one another no matter what :)
Oops… guess I went on and on about it after all ^^;;; Regardless, enjoy the mirror, it actually didn’t sell at the convention I had it at so it’s available for purchase ^^
And now time for some Zelda! When I walked into the craft store and saw these shields I KNEW what I had to do. I want to do more shields from Zelda, but this is the first one I got done… then proceeded to have another idea halfway through, so I’ll probably be remaking this one ^^;;;
For the woodburnings, in case anyone is curious anyone? Hello? I sketched on the wood first then I burn over the sketch :) It’s been a lot of trial and error as, in the beginning, I would sketch it too dark so sometimes faint pencil marks would be there. I think I’m getting better now, though (or at least have a better eraser, lol)
It’s time for some Dr. Who! Well, the tardis at least. The big woodburning is recent, something I wanted to do after making the small coaster. It’s hard to see in the picture, but the words are legible in the big burning :)
Pokemon clocks, one Pikachu (pika pika!), and one Pokeball. The Pikachu is the more recent of the two, having been made and sold at Anime Detour. As always, both clocks are hand drawn and painted by me :) And, as always, the clocks are fully functional, you just need an AA battery. Gotta Catch Em All! Yeah… not terribly witty before bed ^^;;;
Cheshire Cat Grell clock :) Hand drawn and painted by me ^^ Ciel in Wonderland is so wonderfully cracky, and Grell is so wonderful period, so… yeah, a clock was born! Fully functional, all it needs is an AA battery and you’ve got yourself a working Grell clock. Tick. Tock. I’m late, I’m late, for a very important… eh, you get it.
Part of a series of coasters I’ve started doing for all of the wonderful anime characters who are flamboyantly beautiful. The “Born This Way” set celebrates these characters for how awesomely spectacular they are. I still want to do more characters, of course, but these three are from shows/games I really, really enjoy right now. I also want to do female characters, but for some reason only Sailor Uranus and Juri from Utena stand out ^^;;;
It might be hard to see, but burned onto the edge of the coaster is “Born This Way,” except for Shadow Kanji whose says, “Born This Way… so Get Bent!”
All of the many Hetalia coasters I’ve made, and still so many more to go. When I discovered the rectangle wood blocks I KNEW what had to go on them. Lately, I’ve been trying to do the countries that don’t get as much screen time, but then I always end up going back to the main cast ^^
I’ve also done Switzerland and America (Revolutionary War version), but I don’t think I got pictures of them separately >.<
More nostalgia! This time, for Pinky and the Brain, another show I loved as a child. These are the coasters I’ve made from the series… so far, since these coasters seem to be popular at conventions ^^ NARF!
Hello? Are you still there? Target lost. Goodbye.
I love, love love LOVE Portal so much, what a wonderful game it is and frustrating as all hell stop bad mouthing me GLaDOS DAMN! Anyhow, more woodburned coasters from me, glad to see that people seem to be liking the things I’m posting :) All of these are relevant to Portal!
As always, I do take commissions, so if you need a companion cube coaster by your side just let me know :)
