Artist spotlight! Laine is such a great artist, and on top of that, she’s an amazing woman and a great friend. I met her in college back in 2002 when I moved into my new place and saw a girl who had anime wall scrolls in her room. I was so excited to meet someone who was into the same thing as me, and she actually introduced me to more anime series and video games
thanks for Guilty Gear, I’m still hooked. More importantly, she introduced me to artist alley, since it was something she did at conventions. At the time I never, ever thought I would be doing artist alley as much as I do now, that I would be going to so many conventions for my art, my books, and cosplay.We’ve been apart for years because she moved out to California, but it makes me so happy when I see her art on my dash. The last time we saw each other was Anime Central years ago, her working hard behind a table. It’s amazing that, now, I’m doing the same thing she’s doing and that my table gets crowded like hers. Someday we’ll see each other again, but for now, I’ll be cheering her on and promoting her amazing work. I’m so proud of her you have no idea!
