The Inner Workings of a Chibi.

Oh my dear god I finished these before Gee.Kon.  The top picture is the before picture, where I sketch on the shield and swear a lot.  The bottom picture is what it looks like after being woodburned.  I still have to apply the coat of poly to it, but besides that these are DONE!  I hope everyone likes them?

So remember the Persona tarot cards I made?  Someone asked if I could possible color the cards.  I wanted to give it a shot and this is what it looks like colored.  The actual Fool and dog is woodburned, while the background is painted to look like the background on the card.  So I guess painting it does work  ^^  I’m only going to have this one done for now and bring it to Geek.Kon, and I’ll probably end up charging more because it took more work to get it done, but this will be a test run to see if this is something I can offer  :)

The first picture is the sketch done on the wood before burning.  The second is the burning of the Fool and the dog.  Then the final picture is the background painted.

Ahahaha this is my living room right now. Attack on Titan wooden shields waiting to be woodburned, and in the far off distance you can see the untouched gaming things that I haven’t had time for (minus the PS3, it’s in the shelf below and being used...

Progress pics and the final product. Vinyl Scratch clock is ready for Geek.kon

We’re going to be at two conventions this month, Geek.Kon and Metacon, which means that its time to get some stuff made for the table. This time, I thought I’d post some before and after pics. The first pic is how the clock starts then the last is how it looks after I draw and paint on it. This is Haruka’s jacket and shirt from the Free! ending, “Splash Free.”

Oh lord I finished all of this in one day.  CONvergence is this weekend, and I made some new things to put in the art show.  I figured, I should give it a shot, and hopefully people like it enough to bid on it  :)

The first picture is of a large woodburning/painting of the tardis.  The tardis itself is woodburned, and the words on the sign are actually legible!  Everything else is painted to look like it’s flying through space.

The second picture is of a 10 piece coaster set for Game of Thrones of all of the house symbols.

If you’re going to CONvergence, feel free to check out the art show for items like this from me  ^^

Some things for Animinneapolis this weekend.  If you’re going, feel free to swing by my table  :)

So I’ll be at Animinneapolis this weekend with a table.  I wanted to have more of these done but I’ll probably only have a couple.  Things have been extremely hectic lately with the book release and everything.  This is just an example of what’ll be at my table, there will be more fun woodburnings, and clocks, and plushies, and things.  So if you’re going to Animinneapolis, be sure to look for me  :)

Since I’m getting ready for Animinneapolis it’s epic crafting time so that my partner and I have a full art table. One style I noticed that is crazy popular is pixel art, so I thought I would give it a try with woodburning. These are pixel coasters...

Since I’m getting ready for Animinneapolis it’s epic crafting time so that my partner and I have a full art table.  One style I noticed that is crazy popular is pixel art, so I thought I would give it a try with woodburning.  These are pixel coasters of Megaman and Ralph from Wreck-It Ralph.  This was quite the adventure  :)  The grid is woodburned, then the dark parts are woodburned in each individual square, then the right colors are painted in each square  ^^  I’m surprised they turned out this spiffy!

I’m super excited, guys.  Nothing I’ve posted on DeviantART has been so popular before  :)  I wanted to do Death the Kid because he’s essentially in black and white, and that always works well with woodburning.
