We have the Geek Holiday Expo coming up this weekend. If you are one of the people from Daisho who bid on our items in the art show but never picked them up, you must contact us before this weekend, or we will be putting them on sale again.

Spreading the word. We had some people bid on our items but they didn’t come to pick them up after they were called on Saturday/Sunday by the girl in charge of the Daisho Con art show.
So I do have more Daisho con pictures, but I wanted to post this one, because this was the con of me meeting fans… of me. Which really, really blew my mind because I was not expecting it at all, and I really hope I didn’t sound too much like a flustered blubbering mess of “OMG YOU FOLLOW ME?!” But I probably did.
Anyhow, this is just one of the pictures, but I wanted to share it because this guy was a real sweetie. He was really polite to the point of asking if it was o.k. if he put his arm around me for a picture. I didn’t catch his name, though :( But he follows my tumblr, so whoever you are it was really great to meet you <3
And randomly on Facebook Daisho cosplay staff asked if I would be a judge next year for their cosplay competition and do a panel because they think I’m awesome and didn’t realize I was there? And just… uh… wow, holy wow!

OMG you guys we got stopped SO MUCH and I ran into people who were fans of me and I couldn’t believe it at all and just EVERYONE AT THIS CON HAS BEEN SO WONDERFUL THAT I HAVE TO USE ALL CAPS.
And to top it all off I get to end this weekend with a bunch of Persona announcements AND picking my mama up from the airport on the way home for her week vacation with us for Thanksgiving OMG WHY IS LIFE SO PERFECT RIGHT NOW?!

Friday at Daisho was great. It is a bit strange being able to just walk around and not sit at a table, but it’s been a lot of fun. The really cool thing that’s been happening that I wasn’t expecting was people recognizing me from the article I wrote and who follow me here and on tumblr O.O That’s really incredible! Like I got some, “I recognize you from this article you wrote” and some “Hey is this you” and “omg I know you from the internet” and… yeah. Wow <3
I also was really incredibly super brave and not awkward (was totally awkward) because I gave J. Michael Tatum a Grell clock I made because he likes Grell. I did it all by myself like a big kid and was all ready to walk away forever but then he asked for a picture and called me gorgeous in my Peach cosplay and everything is a blur after that. But I did it alone so yay me!

All done! Crazy project aka that one time I found a broken door piece from a furniture set at Ikea and felt like being snazzy. The lines and gate are painted on the backside while Ciel and Sebastian are painted on the front. Finished just in time for Daisho tomorrow.

Filed under projects I should not attempt the week of a con after finishing other projects. The Black Butler mirror is making progress, all that’s left is adding the silhouette of Ciel and Sebastian. Debating on adding the title but I’m thinking no, and letting the picture speak for itself.
This entire thing was hand painted, I used dry erase marker on one side to do the lines, then painted it from the other side and wiped the marker off. It actually took longer than the Sailor Moon mirror omg why do I do these things? However, it will be done in time for Daisho, yay!
This was found in a store because it was part of what I assume was a broken cabinet set, or something? Yeah leave it to me to look at it and think, “I wanna paint that 2 days before a con for the art show whoo!”

This was a lot of fun to do. I’ve had this mirror sitting in my closet for years and wanted to do something with it. With the return of Sailor Moon the answer was clear :) If you click on each picture there’s comments on how each part was done.

This post is also known as “why do I take on crazy projects the week of a con?” I plan on having a full set of progress pictures when this is completely done, but this is the progress I made today. Started with the blanket mirror, sketched Sailor Moon in dry erase marker so it could be wiped off the glass easily, then handpainted her and added stars :)
All that’s left to do is the symbols on the round parts. The inner and outer scouts (8 circles), Chibi Moon (1 circle), Sailor Starlights (1 circle because they have the same symbol), Tuxedo Mask (1 circle), and Sailor Moon’s locket (1 circle).
This will be in the art show at Daisho this weekend, along with some more nifty things, including a Black Butler mirror and a set of Attack on Titan woodburnings. Gonna finish all the crazy things *__*
