And now without further ado, our first cast announcement for Free! -Eternal Summer-, everyone’s favorite bespectacled beauty-loving butterfly boy: Rei Ryugazaki!

Rei (played by Daisuke Hirakawa in the Japanese version) is played by J Michael Tatum, known for such roles as Sebastian Michaelis from Black Butler, Kyoya Otori from Ouran High School Host Club (another glasses boy!), and France from Hetalia. We know a LOT of you fans guessed that he’d play Rei, so if you got it right, congrats! ( ´ ▽ ` )ノ

This might sound a bit anime snobbish…

… but I recently watched the dub for the Persona 4 anime since I got the bluray to review, and I like the dub (always thought the dub cast was great since the original game release) but I noticed that they don’t have any of the Japanese honorifics in the dub for the anime.  I… don’t really get why, since not only did the original game keep them, but so did Arena.

Also… Yosuke doesn’t call Yu “partner,” which he also does in the original game and Arena.  And… him calling him “bro” just… doesn’t feel right.  And no, I’m not just saying that for my Yu/Souji/Yosuke pairing feelings, but just… in general, it doesn’t sound nearly as meaningful to me.

Here’s the review in case you’re curious, which I do mention this in: http://www.fandompost.com/2012/09/17/persona-4-the-animation-part-one-blu-ray-anime-review/

Am I just a snob for thinking this?  Am I being too picky?
