So we had an artist do a sketch of one of the characters from “Seeking the Storyteller.” This is actually her look from the second book, which is in the works, but he captured her style perfectly. Her name is Katalynne Cove and she works for Randall Fagan, one of the Hunters in the story.

Here is the picture and an excerpt from her debut in the first book. Thanks goes to Chad Jasper of Freaky Atomic Robot Zombies Studios, whose website is here: http://www.farzstudios.com/MAIN/FREAKY_MAIN.html

“He was cleared of those charges,” Katalynne said, remembering the pointless mess she had to deal with a couple of months ago. Three dead bodies, two of which were students on campus, with the same evidence of a brutal sword attack but no proof that the sword belonged to her boss. “In fact, I believe you were in the courtroom at the time.”

“Doesn’t mean Randall Fagan isn’t a psychotic killer. The public has seen the pictures. There are bodies and sightings of him during the night in different neighborhoods. Just because the police can’t link the bodies doesn’t mean he’s not responsible.”

Katalynne rolled her eyes, disinterest in anything the woman had to say. “And I suppose you believe in his partner, Bigfoot, as well?”

Liza ignored the jest and kept pushing. “How about you, Ms. Cove? What exactly do you do for him that pays your bills? You left a highly lucrative job as a personal assistant for one of the leading law firms in the state to work for this man? What does he pay you for?”

“I pick up his dry cleaning.”

Artist spotlight!  Laine is such a great artist, and on top of that, she’s an amazing woman and a great friend.  I met her in college back in 2002 when I moved into my new place and saw a girl who had anime wall scrolls in her room.  I was so excited to meet someone who was into the same thing as me, and she actually introduced me to more anime series and video games thanks for Guilty Gear, I’m still hooked.  More importantly, she introduced me to artist alley, since it was something she did at conventions.  At the time I never, ever thought I would be doing artist alley as much as I do now, that I would be going to so many conventions for my art, my books, and cosplay.

We’ve been apart for years because she moved out to California, but it makes me so happy when I see her art on my dash.  The last time we saw each other was Anime Central years ago, her working hard behind a table.  It’s amazing that, now, I’m doing the same thing she’s doing and that my table gets crowded like hers.  Someday we’ll see each other again, but for now, I’ll be cheering her on and promoting her amazing work.  I’m so proud of her you have no idea!  If you’re not following her, you definitely should be, and if you ever see her at a con definitely check out her stuff and say hello  <3

HELLO AND WELCOME BACK TO ANOTHER EXCITING EDITION OF COMMISSIONS WITH HUGGBEES!!

I finally moved into my new apartment! Exciting, right?! However, living away from home as caused quite a few financial problems. I am currently enrolled as a full time student at my university, and while I have enough money every month to cover rent and utilities, all money for groceries and gas are my responsibility to come up with. So I figured the best approach would be to open commissions!

So right now i’m offering busts, waist-ups, and full body commissions! You can find more examples of my art here and here

all payments should be sent to huggbeesart@live.com

If you have any questions, please message me here or send me an email at huggbeesart@live.com

signal boosts are very much appreciated!

Do you remember that awesome Princess Peach fanart that was made for me?  If not, here it is:
